Chapter Nineteen- The Last Day

(Christmas Day – 5 weeks later)

Shelby woke up to the 3 Grace's shaking her. "Mum! It's Christmas!" Gracelyn speaks. Shelby opens her eyes with a smile, "Morning Grace's" she says, sitting up.

She heads down the stairs after getting dressed into her light blue Winter Dress and getting the Grace's ready too, putting them into little pink winter dresses.

A lot has happened over the past few weeks.

She heard from the Rylaian royals that they were able to fight off their father's, and are now safe, just like before. Lizzie and Joel are now fully official, they've been together as boyfriend and girlfriend for 2 weeks. Callum went on a few dates with a girl by the name of Jess. They work well together.

Of course, a lot more has happened, but there was so many to list off.

Shelby and the Grace's walk into the dining room and take their seats, eating their breakfast. They would be opening presents later on.

Their breakfast consisted of French Toast. It wasn't anything special, but it was breakfast in the end, so that was the main thing. The Grace's ate theirs pretty fast, excited to open their gifts. This would technically be their second Christmas this year because, where they are from, it's actually only June.

Shelby didn't have any updates from her alternate, to say when she would be back for the Grace's.

About 10 minutes later, they headed into the living room where the large Starry Snowfall tree stood, tall and proud. Under it were an arrangement or gifts for the 4 of them. Gifts from friends and family, gifts from the people around them. It was a lot to say the least.

Shelby allowed the Grace's to open their gifts first. There were gifts from Shelby's friends, her allies Scott and Callum, some from Pearl, Quig, Chloe, H, so on and so forth.

The girls were most excited about the gift they got from Scott. It was 3 hand crafted sculptures of them, with so much detail that you wouldn't be able to NOT tell it was them.

By the time they had opened all of them, it was now time for Shelby to give her gift to them. She handed the light blue wrapped package to them and watched as they ripped it open excitedly. Shelby giggles. They gasp as they see 3 silver crowns in there.

"I figured, since I am taking care of you 3 for a while, you have deserved the title of honorary royal!" Shelby smiles, placing the little crowns on their heads. The Grace's squeal excitedly, their fire powers activating in the process. Shelby was able to calm them down though, and watched as the flames went away from their hands.

"Thank you!" they say, hugging her tightly. Shelby smiles and wraps her slim arms around them. "You're welcome..." she says kindly.

Shelby went through and opened all of her presents, the last one remaining was a gift from Scott. She took a deep breath and opened the white wrapping around the box.

Opening the box, she gasps, her eyes wide when she sees the item that is inside. It's a necklace with a piece of the grand pearl hanging from it. "What...?" she mumbles. There was a note under it, so she took it and read it.

"As a sign of our friendship, I give you a piece of my kingdom -Scott".

Shelby smiles and takes the necklace and putting it around her neck with her celestite crystal necklace.

Shelby walks into the field and heads right to Nora's stable, the Grace's were following her. "Hey Nora" she says.
