------------ Desert Kingdom ~ Field Tower -------------
Shelby pulls the book from the chest and opens it while sitting on the step going into the kitchen. She takes a deep breath before reading it.
"The first dragon... the Elder Dragon... gave the worshippers the information they sought and were gifted the knowledge of another dimension. In this dimension, rivers run with lava and water evaporates as soon as it goes into this dimension. This is the dimension of the fiery dragons. Find the first nether portal... among the first village. Good luck" Shelby read out loud. She narrowed an eyebrow. She knew all too well that the first village in Alvaria has been abandoned for over 100 years.
"Do they mean the first village in the Desert...? Or in the entire land of Alvaria?" she questions quietly, "There is no nether portal in Forey Ceshire... right?" she questions. Forey Ceshire is the first village in all of the Desert, built over 1000 years ago. She knew that her best bet would be to find the first Alvarian village, Avendale.
Shelby takes a deep breath before heading up the ladder to get her armour on.
She goes outside about 3 minutes later and looks around to see Nora flying above her. "NORA!" She calls out. The white Pegasus looks down and heads towards Shelby, "Yes?" she asks.
"You don't mind helping me to Avendale, do you?" she questions.
Nora pauses, "Avendale? I honestly thought that place would have been destroyed by now, considering how long it's been abandoned for" she says, "But yeah, I can take you there" she says, laying down to allow Shelby onto her back.
Shelby smiles and climbs onto her back. She had her new ice sword with her just in case she would need to fight anything. She's only ever been to the Nether once, so she was worried. She knew what was in there.
Nora flies up and begins making her way towards Avendale. Shelby takes a deep breath as she clings onto Nora's mane, just so she won't fall off as easily.
(Time skip- 40 minutes later)
Shelby looks down at Nora begins circling her way towards the ground, all the way around the outskirts. It was very much abandoned and destroyed overtime, but it was still in somewhat of a good shape. Nora lands down and Shelby jumps off. "Do you want me to wait here for you?" Nora questions.
Shelby thinks, "Nah, I'll be okay" she says.
Nora nods and flies up, heading back home to the Desert. Shelby looks around for a moment and then begins walking, looking for the Nether portal that the book had mentioned. What if she wasn't actually in the right place? What if the dragon masters did mean Forey Ceshire?
Shelby now doubted that she was right, but then she took a breath of relief when she sees the nether portal frame at the end of the path. She walks over carefully, seeing a chest infront of it. She opens it and again finds gold ingots, a book, but also a flint and steel, most likely to light the portal.
She takes the book out first and reads it outloud, "The Dragons of Fire came to this world through the first Nether Portal. Found in pieces, the worshippers rebuilt the portal and created it into a shrine. And with the power of fire, they were able to reignite it's power, and travel to the underworld".
Shelby chuckles nervous, "I'm scared" she says, taking out the gold and putting it into her backpack. She then puts the book in too. She takes the flint and steel, walks up the step to the portal and lights it. She covers her eyes as the portal flashes purple. When she removed her arms from her eyes, she sees the portal, ready for her to enter. She takes a deep breath and steps into the purple hue of translucent power.
