Chapter Seventeen- The Meeting of the Rylaian Royals

-------------- Desert Kingdom ~ The Field ---------------

Shelby wakes up early and immediately headed to the field to feed Nora and her two dragons. Nora had been given Golden Carrots, since that's what she eats mostly. Shelby smiles as she pours the tray of fresh Golden Carrots into a trough for Nora to eat. "Thank you, Shelby" Nora says before getting to eating her Carrots.

As Shelby walks into the dragon cave where she sees Panfry and Everest waiting for her, she pours the tray of dragon meal into the trough and immediately steps out of the way as Everest gets to eating right away. Everest has grown a lot, even in only a couple days. Panfry, meanwhile, will probably be way too big for the cave soon, so Shelby knew that she would need to either make the cave bigger, or just let Panfry sleep in the field instead.

Shelby smiles and decides to give them both to wash after they finish eating since they were a little dirty.

As she drags in a large bucket of water and a few sponges, and feels her bracelet buzz. She sits the bucket down and answers it.

"Hello?" she asks.

There isn't an answer at first, but then she hears Scott speak, "Hi Shelby" he says in a slightly more monotone voice.

Shelby pauses, "Are you okay? You sound different..." she says as she dips a sponge into the water.

"Oh, do I? I'm okay" he says, still monotoned. Shelby didn't know if he was pranking her or not. "Okay then... so, why were you calling me?" she questions.

"Oh, nothing" Scott replies. Shelby was worried. Usually, whenever Scott calls her through the bracelet, he always has a cheerful voice, but now he sounded different and she wasn't sure on what was wrong.

"Well... you called me for something" Shelby says, sitting down against the cave wall while scrubbing Everest's white scales.

Scott chuckles lightly, "Watch out~" he says with a slightly deeper and distorted voice. Shelby's eyes widened. Voices don't just go distorted out of nowhere. And suddenly, Shelby screeched as pain flows through her.

"It's my turn... Shelby" Void Shelby giggles. Shelby grips her head, shaking it violently, trying to keep Void Shelby at bay. As she opened her eyes though, she saw a person... standing in front of her, but her vision goes blurry before she could see who it was.

Shelby swore that she could see a darker shade of dark red hair through the blurriness though. Deep down, she knew that Void Shelby had gotten out... somehow.

She falls to the floor and goes unconscious. Her ears were ringing, and that was the only sound she could hear for miles.

------------ Desert Kingdom ~ Sandshire Castle -------------

Shelby gasps as she awakes in her bed. She looks around, sweating before taking a deep breath, "It was just a nightmare..." she mumbles, rubbing her teary eyes.

"No... it wasn't" a voice next to her spoke. Shelby looked at the figure next to her to see that it was Quig and Chloe standing there.

"Void Shelby was able to escape, but we subdued her for now, so she's back in your head, and from what we can feel, the same thing happened to Scott" Chloe explains, handing Shelby a cup of milk. Shelby shakes her head, "I appreciate it... but I don't like milk" she says with a sheepish smile.

"Oh, sorry" Chloe says with a small smile before using her powers to disintegrate the milk, and refill it with fresh water instead. "Here you go" she says.

Shelby smiles and takes a cup of water, but then her smile drops. "How did... how did Void Shelby get out...? And SGMajor?" she questions.

"We aren't sure Shelby; we weren't able to sense what caused it" Quig says.
