----------------- The Aether ~ Gold Dungeon ---------------------

Shelby stares at the creature for a few moments, trying to remember how to defeat this guy. She had a good idea on what it was, but she couldn't remember if that was the only thing she had to do.

She had to be brave right now. She took some deep breaths in and out before taking out her sword and heading in. The creature looked at her as she walked up to it with a semi-confident look.

"Begone human! You serve no purpose here!" it yells at her. Shelby sucks in a breath.

It looks at her with a menacing look, "Your presence annoys me. Do you not fear my burning aura?" it questions Shelby.

Shelby lets out that breath and tries to stand straight. She was scared of it deep down, but she didn't want to show it.

"I have nothing to offer you, fool! Leave me at peace!" it yells in Shelby's face.

Shelby stays strong, not moving while she stares the creature down. It straightens up too, "Perhaps you are ignorant. Do you wish to know who I am?" it questions.

Shelby nods, "Yes. Yes I do".

"I am the sun spirit, embodiment of the Aether's eternal daylight. As long as I am alive, the sun will never set on this world" he says.

Shelby raises an eyebrow, looks behind herself and out to the Aether, where, funnily enough, it was night-time. "I don't know about that one, bud..." she mumbles before turning to face the sun spirit again.

"My body burns with the anger of a thousand beasts. No man, hero, or villain can harm me. You are NO exception!" it shouts loudly, leaning down to be at face level with the red-haired Desert Queen. It's clear that it doesn't know who SHE is either.

Shelby takes her sword in both hands and angles her eyebrows. She was trembling, but she had to stay strong.

It growls at her, "You wish to challenge the might of the sun? You are mad! Do not further insult me or you will feel my wrath!" it booms at Shelby. She could hear her ears ringing as it yelled this. She stayed there, still.

"This is your final warning... leave now or prepare to burn!" it yells.

Shelby puts her fire sword away, but then pulls out her ice sword. Maybe this will help her.

"As you wish, your death will be slow and agonizing!" it yells before floating up. Shelby takes a single step back, getting ready to begin the fight. She jumps up and tries to hit it with the ice sword, but it does zero damage to the creature. "Okay... that solves that" she says with a shaky breath.

The Spirit chuckles under its breath. Shelby now remembered that the only way to defeat the Sun Spirit is to shoot the small ice balls back at it that it produces. Shelby moved around, doing her best to not get hit by the fireballs that it was also shooting at her.

She keeps going until she finally sees the first ice ball. She runs to it, jumps up and hits it with her sword, watching at it hurls back at the creature, hitting it directly in the chest. It growls as it takes damage. Shelby gasps as she sees the smaller minion version of the Sun Spirit rushing at her. She dodges while hitting it with the sword, realising that these ones can be damaged with a sword. She sees another ice ball, so she hits it and watches as it hit the Spirit in the face. Shelby ducks under a fireball in the process but gets hit by another one in the chest. She yelps and uses the coldness of her sword to put out the flames burning on her chestplate.

She continues fighting the little minions while dodging the fire attacks left and right, getting hit by 1 or 2 in the process though. She had a few cuts on her face by this point.
