-------- Mesa Kingdom ~ Leavre ---------
Scott peers out of the carriage window as it arrives in the village of Leavre. People make way for the royal carriage and wave to their king as he goes by. Of course, Scott waves to them, but he was lost in thought. What if this girl wasn't actually his stepsister? What if they got the wrong girl?
He sat back down. "Are you okay, King Scott?" Wilbur, the guard, asks. Scott turns to him, "Yes but... what if this isn't actually her?" he asks.
"If it's not, then we'll keep searching until we do find her" Wilbur smiles. Scott nods slightly, "I know, I'm just worried, that's all" he sighs.
Wilbur nods, understandingly, "I know. I'm sure it's her though".
The carriage pulls up to the house and Wilbur opens the carriage door, stepping out and holding it for Scott to exit. Scott steps out and stands straight, adjusting his cape and crown in the process. "Wilbur, you stay at the front of the house, make sure nothing happens" the other guard speaks.
"Yes Braydon" Wilbur nods. Braydon and Scott walk up to the front door while Wilbur stands outside the house's front gate, keeping watch. Scott knocks on the door, and they wait a couple moments before the door opens, and standing there is a teenage boy, maybe about 14 years old. "King Scott! You made it!" he chirps with a bow, stepping aside to allow the King and the guard inside.
"Mum! Dad! The King is here!" he calls up the stairs.
"Okay, Honey!" a female voice calls out.
"Please, take a seat" the boy says. Scott smiles and sits down on the sofa, while the guard stands behind the couch.
A few moments later, a lady and a man walk down the stairs and take their seats. "So, you say that this girl is King Scott's supposed stepsister?" Braydon asks.
The lady nods, "Yes sir. She told us that she escaped from the prison when she was 4 or 5, after her parents were killed" she says.
Scott thinks for a moment, "Where is she at the moment?" he questions.
"She's in her room at the moment" the man says.
"How did you even find her?" Braydon questions.
"We found her in the attic one night after hearing strange creaking sounds. We have no idea how long she was up there for, but it would explain why some of our food would be missing when we woke up the next morning" the boy says.
"Can you bring her downstairs?" Scott asks.
"Of course. Elijah, can you go and get Harlow for me?" the mother asks.
"Yes mum" Elijah speaks before heading up the stairs, coming back down the stairs a few minutes later with the little girl in his arms. The little girl's hair was ginger-brown and her eyes, although slightly hidden, were a pinkish purple colour. Scott could see a lot of the people who kidnapped her in this girl, which made him start to truly believe that this is his stepsister.
Elijah brought her over and sat down next to Scott with her. "Hi Harlow" Scott said softly to the little girl. Harlow looks up at Scott and smiles, "Hi!" she chirps.
"Harlow, this is Scott. We believe he may be your stepbrother" the mother speaks.
Harlow sits up straight and smiles, "Brother!" she cheers. Scott chuckles and pats her head gently.
