Miley's POV
"Bentley come here, Nick is here." I shout outside. Bentley stops playing and runs inside.
"Where?!"
"Hey buddy!" Nick says excitedly. Bentley runs into his arms and Nick picks him up and hugs him tight. "Oh man, you're getting strong Ben."
"I'm eight now!"
"I know, isn't that great? You're getting so big."
"Can Aria and Luca come play outside?" Bentley asks.
"Of course, you guys go ahead and go play." Luca and Aria go outside with Bentley while Nick and I sit down.
"Kevin and Joe are outside with the kids." I say.
"Brave for being out there with all those kids. Where's Jo?"
"In his room talking with Liam. I asked Liam to try to talk him into coming out of his room. Even with the adults if he wanted, but anything other than staying in his room all day."
"Well Ben does have a couple friends out there. There's a lot of younger kids and I know being a teenager you wanna feel grown up."
"Where's Priyanka?"
"She was uh...busy. She had some stuff to do at home." Nick explains.
"Couldn't she have done it later?"
"She uh..."
"She didn't wanna come, did she?" I ask.
"No...she didn't."
"Why not? She loves Ben."
"She does, but she just didn't feel up to it."
"Didn't feel up to it or didn't want to? Nick you already admitted she didn't want to."
"Yeah, well...I didn't wanna upset you." He replies, I roll my eyes in response.
"Priyanka not coming to Ben's party won't hurt my feelings, that bi- woman doesn't hurt my feelings. Nick just shut up and admit your wife hates me."
"She doesn't hate you Miley, she just-"
"Yes she does Nick."
"No she doesn't. Okay fine, she doesn't really like you much but she doesn't hate you."
"What did I ever do to make her dislike me? Like what the fuck." I ask.
"I don't know. I don't think you did anything Miley, you've never been her favorite person."
"Yeah well a lot of people feel that way about me but it doesn't hurt my feelings. The fact that Priyanka doesn't like me kinda makes me laugh."
"I wish you two would get along more."
"I've tried Nick, you know that."
"Yeah, I know." He agrees.
"Does she not like the fact you're so close to Ben?"
"She loves Ben."
"I didn't ask that, I know she loves Ben, everyone loves Ben. I asked you if she didn't like the fact you and Ben are close."
"No, it isn't her favorite thing. She knows I love Luca and Aria but they're my kids. She doesn't understand why Ben and I are so close cause Ben isn't my son. She doesn't get that just cause Ben isn't my son doesn't mean we can't be close."
