Miley's POV

When I returned to the hospital I went straight to Jonah's room. I found him in bed with his face uncovered. I broke down when I saw how hurt he was. I just started to cry and couldn't stop. I sat next to Liam and he held my hand.

"How did the surgery go?" I ask.

"It was a success. He looks a lot better than he did when he first got here Miley, please know that. Dr. Mills said they're gonna work on his nose and jaw next, but he needs to heal from this surgery first." Liam explains.

"How long until he can get the next surgery?"

"He isn't sure yet, he's gonna keep checking on Jo to see how he heals. He came in unconscious so they couldn't test Jo's eyesight to see how much damage there was. He uh..."

"What?"

"Dr. Mills told me that uh...depending on how much damage was done to his eyes...there's a possibility he'll wake up- blind." I started to cry again, I just couldn't stop crying. My eyes were sore from how much I'd been crying but I couldn't stop. I held Jonah's hand and continued to cry.

"Oh shit...I should tell my parents and Noah...fuck."

"Want me to give them a call?" Liam offers. 

"Yeah I had a hard time talking to Nick and the boys about Jo, I don't think I can do it again..."

"I get that, I'll step out so you don't have to hear anything."

Liam walked out of Jonah's room with his phone in his hand and I sat by Jonah, continuing to hold his hand.

"I love you so much Jonah Daniel Hemsworth, with all my heart. Cam and Ben wanted to come see you but I told them to wait until you were a bit better...Nick's worried about you too. I didn't take your advice yet by the way, I haven't talked to Nick about how I feel. Right now all I'm concerned about is you. I'll talk to Nick when you're feeling much better and I don't have to worry so much. I love you Jo...I know I told you about your sister but don't you dare join her yet, you still have too much to do here before it's your time. Cameron and Bentley wouldn't know what to do without you to pester them. When you wake up and you're able to travel we'll take a trip to Nashville. I know how much you love it out there...don't you dare think you'll be getting on a horse anytime soon though, that's for sure. Your dad and I really really miss you Jo...you gotta hurry up and get better. I love you baby..." I kissed Jonah's hand and Liam walked back into the room.

"Well your parents and Noah are devastated." He says.

"I figured they would be."

"I had a hard time keeping it together when I was talking to them...God I almost broke when your dad started to cry."

"Are they gonna come visit?"

"No, they don't think they could keep it together and they don't wanna break down in front of you. Plus, they don't wanna see him in the condition he's in."

"I get that..." Liam sat in the chair next to me again and held Jonah's hand after I let go. "We need to talk about earlier..."

"No Liam, no we don't."

"Are you just gonna pretend that it didn't happen?"

"Yeah I am because you cheated on Taylor, do you realize how awful I feel?" I reply.

"I didn't cheat on Taylor, we've been broken up for months."

"What?"

"She wants kids and I told her I already have three of my own, I don't want anymore. I let her go because she deserves to get what she wants...but you cheated on Leah." Liam explains.
