Miley's POV
It's been a while since I told Nick about my feelings for him and he was staying at my house up until a couple days ago. He decided to go to another friend's so we can think about what's happened by ourselves. I have to admit, when he kissed me it felt incredible. I'm so glad I wasn't dreaming that time...but it was kinda good he left for a bit, we need to figure out what to do. The boys were back at my house, I got Bentley a new bike because apparently someone stole his. We were all at the beach today enjoying a nice summer day, not having to worry about anything. I was watching the boys in the water when my phone started to ring. I looked at who was calling and smiled.
"Hey Leah." I answer.
"Hey."
"What's up?"
"I'm just calling to ask if you're busy today." She says.
"Well right now I'm at the beach with the boys."
"Will you be up for me coming over later?"
"Actually yeah, that sounds great. We'll probably be home by 3:00, I'll make the boys something to eat and we can hang out while the boys are outside." I suggest.
"Sounds good to me, I'll see you then."
"Okay, bye Leah."
"Bye Miley."
After spending the day at the beach I made the boys some food and let them watch TV for a while. Once Leah came over the boys went outside so she and I could have some time alone.
"How was your day at the beach?" Leah asks me while we sit on the couch.
"It was great, I love watching the boys together, getting along. Cameron sure is a fish practically. He just loves the water."
"Well that's good. Did you swim?"
"I did for a bit when we first got there. Mostly I just watched the boys."
"Maybe we can take a trip to the beach sometime." I smile in agreement and Leah leans in to kiss me, but I pull away. "Miley?"
"Uh, s- sorry." I apologize.
"Are you okay?"
All I could think about was my kiss with Nick. It was amazing but I feel awful about it cause I'm dating Leah...
"Well I have something to confess."
"Okay."
"Nick came over for a couple days and uh...we sorta, well, kissed." Leah just sat there, frozen. "It was one kiss, that's all it was, I promise."
"Thanks for telling me."
"I couldn't keep it from you. You're too important to me."
"Well I appreciate you telling me. So, what does this mean?"
"Uh...well I also told Nick I had feelings for him...cause I do..."
"Oh..."
"And- and I can't do this to you...I can't be with you if I have feelings for Nick. I just- you're such an amazing person. It's gonna fucking suck for a while but..." I explain.
"You wanna break up..."
"Yeah..." I wiped the tears from my eyes and Leah smiled.
"Well for what it's worth, I really enjoyed our time together."
