Jonah's POV

Cameron, Bentley, and I were outside hanging out by the tire swing.

"What do you think dad has planned for us when we get back?" Cameron asks, pushing Bentley on the swing.

"I hope it's something fun."

"Of course it'll be fun, dad's always fun." I tell Bentley.

"I hope we get to go out somewhere. It's boring to stay inside in the summer. Swimming hopefully." Cameron says, Cameron loves to swim.

"Well whatever he says I know it'll be fun. This is boring, you guys wanna go do something else?"

"Like what?"

"I don't know, something that's way more fun. C'mon, we can figure something out, let's just think. Remember we're on a huge property and have tons of places to go."

"Hey Jo, remember that huge tree out past the pond?"

"Yeah, what about it?"

"Let's go over there, I love that tree."

"Okay, fine with me. Wanna go by the huge tree Ben?"

"Yeah okay."

We all walked to the big maple tree out past the pond. It was on a hill so we had a good view of the property.

"This tree is huge." Bentley says.

"A lot bigger than I remember. What about you Jo?"

"Eh. It looks the same."

"Remember that summer when mom and dad took us up here and we had lunch? We started to climb the tree but mom stopped us cause we were so young."

"Yeah, I remember that day perfectly. Mom was pregnant with Ben and she thought she actually went into labor.

"I was born here?!" Bentley asks excitedly.

"No, it was a false alarm. You were born in California, at home. I was born here though."

"What? Really Jo?"

"Yeah mom and dad came out to visit mamaw and papa right before I was born. Mom really wanted to but dad said she was too close to her due date. They went anyway and so I was born here, in Nashville."

"Maybe that's why you love coming here so much." Cameron suggests.

"Yeah, I think I have a "special connection" here. After mom told me the story she said "Jonah, you've got extra Nashville in you, you have a special connection". It was so corny but I still liked it."

"That's so cool." Bentley says.

"I remember the last time we were out here with dad. I was four, Ben was one, and you were six. We had so much fun."

"Has it really been that long since we've been out here? Wow..." I reply.

"Well I think we might've gone here maybe once a few years ago, but I don't think dad was with us, he was doing a movie."

"Yeah, I was six the last time we were out here as a complete family..." I think back to the great times I've had out here with dad, I'm going to miss it...

"I miss dad." Cameron says. I notice Bentley beginning to frown, gotta change the subject.

"Hey, I bet I could really climb this tree now." I say.
