Miley's POV

Liam and I were sitting in the waiting room for what felt like forever. When someone finally came out and walked towards us I grabbed Liam's hand.

"Miley, Liam, your son is in surgery right now. He has major internal bleeding, we have one of the best surgeons working on him right now." The nurse says.

"How- how bad is he?" I ask. "And don't you dare sugar coat anything."

"Right now the doctor is working on getting the bleeding to stop, then he'll do a full evaluation on your son's health."

"Is he gonna be okay?"

"I can't say right now because we don't know everything that's wrong, but I'm going to tell you from what I've seen is to be prepared for anything. Can I ask how this happened?"

"Miley, let me talk to the nurse alone."

"Why?"

"You won't wanna hear what happened to him Miley, I may not be your husband anymore but I still care about you. It'll be too hard for you to hear." Liam tells me.

"Are you hiding something?"

"What? Miley no, you're misunderstanding me. What happened to Jonah, how he got hurt, what the horse did...you don't want to hear it."

"Okay...I'm gonna go call Nick."

I stepped away and called Nick, hoping he would pick up.

"Hey Miley, how's Jonah?" Nick asks as soon as he picks up the phone.

"Well first tell me how Cam and Ben are."

"They're fine, they're watching TV after swimming. I haven't told them anything, I won't tell them until you want me to. Unless you wanna tell them yourself."

"You can tell them that Jo got hurt and he's in the hospital. Only that though, don't tell them anything else."

"You got it."

"So I suppose you wanna know about Jo..." I say.

"Only if you want to tell me."

"Well I have to pass the time somehow, Jo isn't out of surgery yet."

"Oh my god...what happened?" He asks.

"He didn't get his saddle tight enough, it slipped under the horse and took him with it. He has internal bleeding, he's in surgery right now."

"Oh my god Miley...I'm so sorry. What can I do to help?"

"Stay with Cam and Ben until I get home, would you do that for me?" I ask.

"Absolutely, I'll stay here as long as you need me to."

"Nick I'm scared..."

"I know, I'm gonna be thinking about him okay? Look, stay at the hospital as long as you need to okay? I'll stay here until you come back."

"Well after I find out what's wrong with Jonah I'll stop by the house to get some clothes, then I'm gonna stay here with him. I'm not leaving here and going home home until he can come home too. I don't care if it's a week or a month, I'm not leaving Jo."

"And you shouldn't, you should be with him. How's Liam handling things?" Nick replies.

"I think he feels guilty. It's not his fault though...it was an accident."
