Rosalie & Lily

Rosalie's Point of view:

I spent half the Summer with Remus and the Marauders and the other half with Lily and Severus. Lily and I lived in the same town and my house was just a five minute walk from her house. After Remus and I started Hogwarts and my parents didn't have to move every month, so no one would find out about Remus, they finally settled in a village which turned out to be Lily's Village. This just made Lily and I more inseparable and we would take it in turns sleeping over at each others houses. We saw Severus everyday and would spend the whole day with him.

"Any improvement at home, Sev?" I asked Severus with compassion in my voice.

"Same old same old. Just arguing and fighting. If anything, it gets worse each year." Severus said, looking down at the ground.

"I'm so sorry, Sev. We'll be at Hogwarts soon. Just a few more days." Lily said, kindly.

I gave Severus a friendly nudge with my shoulder. When he looked at me with a raised eyebrow, I smiled brightly at him. He couldn't help but return it with a small affectionate smile.

"What about you, Lily? Anything better with Petunia?" Severus said, trying to hide his bitter feelings towards Petunia.

I scowled while Lily had a sad look on her face. Severus would rant to me about how horrid Petunia is when Lily wasn't around. He would usually corner me after quiditch practice, even though every time he does I end up having to protect him from James and Sirius.

"She barely talks to me and when she does it's usually insults." Lily said, her lip quivering and eyes filling with tears.

"Few more days and then . . . Hogwarts." Severus said, softly.

Severus's eyes never left Lily whenever they were together and what I saw in them scared me. They stared at her with a such possessive obsessiveness that shook me to my core. Any guy who talked to Lily would find himself on the other end of wands aimed by Severus' gang of Slytherins that he has been hanging around with last year. I'm positive that Severus picks them because he's obsessed with Lily but the other Slytherins do it because any guy that would talk to Lily was from any house but Slytherin and most Slytherins hate Muggles borns, not all but a good chunk of them.

I did like having Severus as a friend. He may be bitter and finds it hard to look on the brighter side but that's because of the hardships he's faced. Severus was a loyal friend.

However, Marlene, Mary and Alice didn't like him one bit. Severus isn't someone who would go out of his way to make friends and he is not a friendly person in general. Severus likes to be by himself, me and Lily being the exception. Lily and I would try to talk to the girls about Severus but they just couldn't stand to be around him and I could understand why.

The way Severus looked at Lily was extremely intense and uncomfortable to be around. It made me uncomfortable and I've been friends with both them for two years, and I still wasn't use to it. Mary, Marlene and Alice preferred to hang out with the Marauders when Lily and I would go to spend time with Severus.

Rosalie & Regulus

Rosalie's Point of View:

At the sorting this year James and Sirius decided to guess the houses of the new first year students. Problem was they shouted it for everyone to hear and booed when they got it wrong, which they did more then they did right.

Sirius went oddly quiet when his brother was being sorted. Regulus ended up in Slytherin and Sirius didn't seem surprised. He soon went back into his joking, carefree mood and continued guessing the houses, wrongly.
