Sirius Point of View:

I wasted no time in planning. Since Rosalie spends the Hogsmeade weekend singing in the Three Broomsticks, I decided to have the date the day before. The Hogsmeade weekend was on Sunday 31st of October, so I was planning the date for Saturday 30th October. After Rosalie said yes to going out with me on Thursday, I spent the whole of Friday planning. Marlene, Mary and Alice helped with some ideas that they told me Rosalie would love.

After the first half of Friday being stressful, I decided to throw a Dungbomb at Snivellus to relieve some of the stress. Evan's didn't like that and she marched over to me. Evans could be scary when angry but I've faced the wrath of Rosalie and lived, I'm not easily intimidated.

"Black! Did you just throw a Dungbomb at Severus?" Lily said in a shrill voice.

My smirk said it all and Lily sighed.

"Why do you care?" I asked, genuinely curious.

"He's my friend! As well as Rose's!" Lily insisted.

"Is he?" I inquired.

Lily hesitated and couldn't answer.

"Face it, Evans. He's been hanging around with some bad people. Really bad people. Mulciber, Avery, Macnair . . ." I said.

"I know. But he's . . . he's still my friend." Lily whispered.

"Lily, he's on his way to becoming a Death Eater." I said exasperated.

Lily flinched.

"You . . . you don't know that. He . . . he's just . . ." Lily stammered.

"Just what? What excuses can you make for him this time?" I retorted.

Lily sighed and refused to look me in the eyes.

"I'm not saying this to be mean. I'm concerned about you, I know better then anyone how far some of these fanatic pureblood families will go. I'm from one myself but I don't share their beliefs. I don't think your grasping at the situation you're putting yourself in. Snivellus' friends are notorious for going after Muggle borns and you being friends with someone in there group makes you an easy target." I said softly.

Lily became defensive.

"Then why haven't I ended up in the hospital wing yet?" Lily demanded.

"Snivellus is the only thing between you and them, how long do you think that will last? Snivellus doesn't exactly strike fear into hearts of men does he?" I pointed out.

Lily and I stared each other down for a few minutes, neither of us willing to back down.

"Why do even care, Black? It can't just be because I'm friends with Rose." Lily demanded.

"You may not like James and I, Lily, but what made you think I don't like you? Do you think I forgot when we we first met on the train?" I said.

Lily softened, considerably.

I grinned and then pulled out my box of Berty Botts Every Flavour Beans. This caused Lily to giggle slightly. I extended the box towards her offering her one. Lily raised her eyebrow and grinned taking a white one and putting it in her mouth. She doubled over as if she was about to vomit.

"Vomit!" Lily exclaimed and I howled with laughter.

Lily and I walked back into to the castle together and she told me all of Rosalie's favourite foods, most of them I knew already. I went down to the kitchen that we had discovered in our second year and asked the house-elves if they could prepare a picnic for tomorrow and I would pick it up just before Dinner started.

They eagerly agreed and I gave them a list if all the foods I wanted included. They were more then eager to help. If only Kreacher was this pleasant, I thanked them and left the kitchen.

Rosalie was desperate to know what I was planning and it was driving her crazy that no one would tell her anything. The Marauders and Rosalie's friends had offered to help me set up. Lily was staying with Rosalie, probably to help her do girl stuff.
