Ranboo gulped. Yep, it's definitely in his best interest to be friends with Percy rather than enemies.

"C-cool," Ranboo murmured, his voice barely audible to a whisper. Ranboo didn't even realize he was trembling.

Well, he's not really lying... it is cool. Just terrifying. How Percy could end his life with a single motion.

He remembered the first time he encountered water. It was a clear and shallow stream in the forest. Ranboo didn't know much at that time, he was young. He didn't know water would hurt him, he just thought it looked pretty, so he touched it. It was only his hand, but from that day on he knew what agony felt like. He could feel himself being eaten away. The water was like acid or lava.

If he almost died from just a little water and it was the worse pain Ranboo ever felt, what would all the water orbs around him right now do?

Ranboo shivered at the idea and decided to take a step back from the water. He definitely had enough water for a day.

The water orbs went back into the lake. "Hey man, you okay?" Percy asked Ranboo.

"Yeah..." Ranboo nodded and silently cursed himself for being so scared. He was shaken up, but he tried to conceal it from the others. "I'm fine."

"He seemed really scared for some reason." Percy told Annabeth what happened with himself, Grover, and Ranboo at the lake. "I don't know why."

Annabeth made the face she always made when thinking about things, "I need to add this to my notes," She hurried off. Percy hoped this was a sign that they might finally get information about Ranboo.

Percy approached Annabeth. She was with Tommy, Skeppy, and Ranboo, as always, keeping an eye on them. They had learned that Tommy really hates satyrs for unknown reasons, so Grover wasn't there. Percy always felt like Ranboo was awkward or distant, but Annabeth said it was only when he was here. Does Ranboo hate him? Hopefully not.

"Hi." Percy waved his hand casually. He glanced at Ranboo. Sure enough, Ranboo stepped away from him a tiny bit. Just barely. If Percy haven't been watching out for it, he wouldn't have noticed. Annabeth doesn't seem to notice at all. She didn't get along very well with Tommy since he acts like the Ares kids, but she told Percy Ranboo and Skeppy are actually pretty nice.

Percy wanted to see for himself, but, well, Ranboo avoids him for some reason. Percy did get along with Skeppy, though. Skeppy would be in the Hermes cabin, if he's a demigod, but he's like Tommy. He's not a demigod, mortal, god, or a monster. Celestial bronze hurts him, but yet he's like a mortal. Skeppy is a good fighter, though. He lost a lot of fights but he also won a lot of them.

Tommy stepped in between Ranboo and Percy almost instinctively, shielding Ranboo from Percy. Skeppy greeted Percy, "Hey Percy."

"Hello big man!" Tommy grinned at Percy. Tommy opened up to them after a few days of being at the camp. He started being more annoying and rude, but no one really cared much. Tommy was a good fighter. He still had his guard up, but he wasn't as serious or jumpy anymore. He didn't scowl as much as he used to. Tommy always gave off a sad aura, like something horrible has happened to him. Percy wondered what happened to Tommy to make the blond like this.

One time, Percy caught Tommy sitting on the beach. He was looking at a compass in his hand. The magnet on the compass was spinning wildly, not pointing at anywhere. It's probably broken. Tommy didn't notice Percy behind him. Tommy was crying, so Percy just left to give him space.
