Chapter 6 - A Conversation With The Green One

Dream can't find Drista anywhere. He was worried, but he didn't show it. Because of his sister's disappearance, he has called off the troops on half-blood camp. The retreat will definitely give the camp time to recover, but Dream doesn't care at all. His sister is way more important than a stupid war between the gods and Titans he isn't even part of.

Unfortunately, Drista was not among the retreated troops.

BBH was beside Dream, trying to reassure him that Drista is okay. Dream hoped that his sister is still alive and well. This is horrible. Dream held back his tears and stood up. There's only one other place Drista could be.

In camp half-blood.

(Line Break)

"Don't worry," Ranboo reassured Chiron, "I'll be fine. I know Dream." He looked over at Tommy. "Don't worry, Tommy. He doesn't like you but I think I'm on pretty good terms with him."

Ranboo had a flashback of Dream killing him over and over when Ranboo first joined until he got to the holy lands.

Yep, they were very good friends. Dream gave him a pretty warm welcome.

"I'll just teleport over there and talk to him. I think I can get him to help us instead of Kronos," Ranboo insisted.

Tommy left the room without a word, making Ranboo feel guilty about bringing Dream up in front of him.

Ranboo tried again, "Just let me go. I can help! If I fail, I can always teleport back here."

"Alright," Chiron finally agreed, sighing, "be careful."

(Line Break)

"I think I figured out something." Annabeth told Percy.

Percy cocked his head, "What?"

Annabeth said, "I think Ranboo is afraid of you."

"What?" Percy asked, surprised, "Why would he be scared of me?!"

"Think about it, Percy! Ranboo always acts awkward and quiet when you're around." Seeing the skeptical expression on Percy's face, Annabeth continued, "Look, I'll prove it to you. You stay here. I'll go find Ranboo. You can compare how he acts in front of me with how he acts when you're around. He never gives off nervous energy except when you're around."

Annabeth walked off, leaving Percy waiting. A few minutes later, Annabeth returned with Ranboo. Ranboo hasn't noticed Percy — who was behind a few trees and shrubs — yet. He was talking and laughed with Annabeth in a carefree and confident manner. Percy was astonished, he has never seen Ranboo like that before. Ranboo always seemed shy and nervous to Percy.

"Hey," Percy emerge from the trees. Ranboo flinched from his voice and turned around, startled.

"Uh- um- hi?" Ranboo waved nervously. He unconsciously stepped away from Percy. Annabeth gave him a look like: See?

Percy blinked, "Uh, hi," Annabeth was correct — when was she not? — after all.

Annabeth started, "Anyway, Percy, I need your help convincing Ranboo."

Ranboo shook his head, "Annabeth I already said-"

"What are you guys talking about?" Percy asked.

"Ranboo is going to go meet the hooded green man," Annabeth explained gravely, "They know each other. I've been telling him he needs someone to come with him or he might get hurt but he wants to go alone."

Percy was dumbfounded, again, "What?!" He turned to Ranboo, "You can't go alone! That's too dangerous!"

Ranboo begun to object, "But-"
