The crew of the Argo II are going to track down the owner of the book Leo got from the dwarfs' collection. Apparently the book was stolen from a place called La Casa Nera, Calle Frezzeria. (I dunno if that's correct) Which translates to "The Black House" according to Nico. Apparently he speaks Italian. "Calle Frezzeria" is the name of the street.
When Technoblade got to the deck, he saw some strange monsters roaming down in the streets. They are as big as cows and and has a bowed back like a broken down horse. The weird shaggy monsters had matted gray fur, skinny legs, black cloven hooves, and long, anteater-like snouts. Techno wondered for a brief moment how Wilbur will react to this anteater-ish monster, since he hates anteaters so much. The monsters' heads seems too heavy for their necks and their overgrown manes covered their eyes.
The pink-haired anarchist sighed, "I assume the humans can't see them the way they are because of the mist?" Hazel nodded, confirming his half-question half-statement. Dream had explained about the basics of the demigod/monster/god/Titan/many-other-things world when Techno fought in the Titan War, so Techno knows things. (I know he knows a lot about Greek myths and stuff irl but he lives in the world of Minecraft in this AU so technically the Greeks don't exist)
Jason frowned at the horizon, "I think I should stay on board. Lots of venti in that storm last night. If they decide to attack the ship again...."
"Well, I'm out too." Coach Hedge grunted. "If you soft-heart cupcakes are going to stroll through Venice without even whacking these furry animals on the head, forget it. I don't like boring expeditions."
"That's ok, coach. I'm making some new installations on the ship. I could use some help." Leo grinned.
"I'll go." Frank volunteered.
Nico offered, "I'll go with him."
Techno watched everyone curiously. These people are interesting, he'll give them that. Eret, Ghostbur, and Coach Hedge are already leaving the deck to help with whatever "installation" Leo wants to add. The piglin hybrid grimaced a little at this thought. Usually every time Leo adds a new installation, it would explode or send smoke billowing up into the air.
Frank asked hesitantly, "Uh, you're good with animals?"
Nico smiled with no humor, "Actually, most animals hate me, they can sense death. But there's something about this city..." his expression turned grim, "Lots of death, restless spirits. If I go, I may be able to keep them at bay. Besides, as you noticed, I speak Italian."
"I'll go too." Hazel slipped her arm through Frank's. "Three is the best number for a demigod quest, right?"
Techno noted that Frank looked relieved at this. So three is the best number for a demigod quest. The pinkette almost wanted to not offer to go, but he decided that he has to get out of this ship soon. It's boring, being cooped up here.
"I'll also go." Techno spoke, before the trio can leave. Everyone on deck seems surprised. Techno continued nonchalantly, "I'm not a demigod, so technically I wouldn't count as a quester. So it'll still be three questers. Kinda. Even though this isn't really a quest."
Jason blinked in confusion, "What are you though?" Techno shrugged but didn't reply.
"Well, let's go then." Nico said. The four left the ship.
(Line Break)
The large, hairy creatures are sniffing on the ground. They seem to like a type of plant, since one started nibbling on a greenish root.
Frank commented, "Well, they're plant eaters, that's good news."
"Unless they supplement their diet with demigods. We should be careful." Hazel said as she slipped her hand into Frank's. Frank gave her a grateful smile.
