Chapter 11 - A Few.... Casualties

Eret has no idea where he is, but he does not like the face in the mud at all.

There is the face of a woman made out of mud on the ground beside him. She appears to be sleeping, but he heard her voice in his head. Her lips aren't moving, but Eret is sure she is talking.

Hello Eret. Eret shivered. How did this woman — or whatever she is — know his name?

"Who are you?!" Eret asked, straining to keep his voice steady. His heart was beating fast. What is happening?! Where am I?! This is definitely not the Dream SMP or L'manburg. Or anywhere close to these places.

The voice chuckled, what a peculiar mortal you are. I am looking forward to seeing what you will do.....

The face morphed back into the ground. Eret stared at the spot where it used to be. Who is that? What does she want?

Eret looked around. He saw no clue of where he could be. He's on the ledge of a rocky mountain.

Where am I?

Any guesses on where our bi king Eret could be? No hints or reveals.... yet.

(Line Break)

During the long fall that seems to have last for eternity, Ranboo was somehow separated from Percy and Annabeth. Percy held onto Annabeth tightly, afraid of losing her.

Suddenly the place around them turned a reddish grey. Percy looked down and saw a massive cavern.

"Percy, water!" He heard Annabeth say beside him. Percy looked over at Ranboo and wondered if he could also help Ranboo. Percy was alarmed to find that Ranboo isn't there.

They were getting closer and closer to the ground. They would be completely flattened and dead if they hit the ground. Then Percy saw a black and white figure on the ground looking anxiously up at them. Ranboo had teleported to the ground. He's safe for now. Well, as safe as someone can be when they're in Tartarus.

Percy acted fast. He shivered at the thought of going into a Tartarus river, but there was no other choice. Quickly, he controlled the water and braced for impact. They were in the water.

The water was freezing, but what's worse is all the voices he heard.

Why struggle?

There's no point.

He could feel his energy draining as soon as he touched the water. Percy almost felt like giving up, but then he remembered Annabeth. With the last of his energy, he struggled to control the water. He felt Annabeth sinking and immediately dragged her up. They rose to the surface with a whirlpool Percy created.

"Land. Go sideways." Annabeth croaked. Percy obliged. This is a river, there has to be shore somewhere.

The river worked against them. Fighting for control of the currents, Percy went on, as tired as he is. The voices rang in his head.

Life is despair.

Everything is pointless.

Stop trying.
