Chapter 24

[ lukes pov ]

It was the day of the concert and to say I was nervous was an understatement

I was currently in my room with Ashton pacing up am down

" babe, please calm down were all nervous" Ashton tried to reassure

I sat down next to Ashton nervously playing with my fingers

He sighed and entwined his fingers with me I smiled weakly at him and he pressed a gentle kiss to my cheek

When I finally calmed down Ashton attempted to talk me through it all

" so, we need to go to Michael's soon in the can we managed to get, then we have to put all the equipment into the van seems so we left everything at mikeys and then head over to the school to set up we have to go pretty early so Calum has a set of keys so we can get in" Ashton explained calmly

"I-I'm s-so scared ash" I stuttered weakly Ashton shook his head

" it's ok lukey" Ashton said sweetly

" no it's not!" I snapped Ashton looked taken back by my sudden change of tone

" I'm singing the most parts if I mess up everyone will be looking at me what if my voice cracks what If I sing the wrong words or worse forget the words or what if I play the wrong note everyone will laugh at me ash" I shouted in frustration

Ashton shook his head tutting me

" luke, your so goddam talented it'd be rare for you to mess up and if you do me Michael or Calum will covet it up for you! Also it's our first time performing and every one knows that it's not as if were professionals were bound to make a mistake at some point and trust me everyone will understand " Ashton spoke in a soothing voice

I calmed down and nodded in agreement Ashton smiled in triumph and I giggled at his cuteness

We were now all at Michael's taking Ashton's drum apart and loading it into the van piece by piece

After a while of grunts and heavy lifting we actually managed to get all of out instruments into the van and headed off to the school

When we got to the outside of the school where the carnival thing was we all gasped

There was a huge stage where we would be performing

Rides and games stalls it looked amazing

Suddenly the nerves started to fade away and turn into excitement

Mr. Reed the maths teacher came rushing over

" hey boys, I'm in charge of you lot tonight so go set up on that stage over there if you need any help just shout me over and i will make sure no one bothers you!" He chirped

We all thanked him and started to carry the equipment to the stage

All that left was to assemble it and put it in it's place we had already planned where everything was going

There would be three mic's with stands infront if Ashton's drums I would be stood at the middle one Calum at the right one and Michael at the left

We all had drums seeing so Ashton had parts to sing As well

Ashton picked up the largest piece of the drums and carried it over to Where he was setting it up

I almost moaned at the sight Ashton's strong arms where flexing as he picked up the piece and carried it

I had to look away to control myself

I think Michael noticed my little enjoyment because he rolled his eyes at me and flicked my arm

Time went by extremely fast and before I knew it we were all set up and we would soon be performing

We all gathered in a group hug while counting down the minutes

I pulled away from everyone and went to make sure I had my little present for Ashton when seeing it was still there I was just hoping

That this night goes perfect

I know it's not long it's just a filler chapter I've been having lots of trouble being able to make this story but I'm just going to carry on for you guys!! Sorry for the slow update the next chapter will be here soon
