Chapter:58

James opened the door of the room from where he heard the scream. His mind was drenched in negative thoughts. Even though his heart consoled him that everything will be fine,his mind kept repeating that he will see Emy without breathing ; her body pale and ice - cold.

As he saw Emy standing alive, he felt so relieved and thanked the spirits for keeping her alive for him.

"Emy!!" James hugged her tight.

She was relieved to see all of them alive too. She at once, kissed James feverishly,out of happiness.

Then she hugged Kate and Seth. She never expected to see Kate again. Neither did Kate. Tears were pooling out of their eyes as they hugged each other.

That's when her eyes shifted to the two people who watched Neorah in shock. She recognised them at once.

"Why are they here?" Emy asked Kate in a whisper.

"Long story" Kate grinned.

Emy glanced at Max and saw her smiling wide. That smile made sure that everything was ok. Emy was happy for her too.

James suddenly noticed the wound on Emy's neck.

"What happened?" He asked eyeing the wound.

"Neorah happened." Emy replied.

"Did that bitch bite you?" Kate enquired.

"Yeah" Emy answered.

James was out of control. He glared at Nancy in anger.

"Nancy, why didn't you use your magic before she bit her?" James shouted.

Before Nancy explained, Emy interfered,

"Let me answer this." She said.

James waited patiently.

"She had a spell casted on her. So  it was impossible for Nancy to cast her spell on Neorah without making her weak at first -- I already had vervain in my body. Nancy had been giving it to me as she sensed the attack of Neorah anytime. We purposefully let her bit me so that she will be weak once she bit me. " Emy paused and stared at James.

" So, Nancy never did anything wrong. And whatever she did was done with my approval." Emy justified.

James sighed realising that she was being reasonable.

"So, what are you gonna do with her?" He asked.

"I had told you about that before. I will kill her." Emy replied with a grimace.

Neorah flinched on hearing that. She was already in panic as her eyes met Aiten's.

She knew that Aiten could read her mind. Therefore, Neorah apologised to him,mentally, for all the mean things she had said and done to him before. She still thought she had a chance to escape from there if Aiten feel pity for her. Unfortunately, her thoughts were wrong.

Aiten ignored all of them and stared into her eyes with rage. His heart still ached from her betrayal.

Emy walked towards Aiten.

"Will you do it for me?" She asked Aiten.

"With pleasure." Aiten answered.

Aiten untied her from the chair.

Neorah was forced out of the door by some unknown power. She tried to hold on to certain things so that she wouldn't be exposed to the sun. But all of them were effortless as the unknown power was so much stronger than her.

Her skin burned as it was made contact with the mighty sun. She screamed in agony. Her body evaporated into the sky like dust particles. She was gone forever.

Emy watched her death with happiness. She was happy that she fulfilled her revenge.

"Your mother is lucky to have a daughter like you. She would be proud of you." Aiten complemented her.

Everyone was happy that they got rid of their problems. James explained everything ,that took place at the dark army, to Emy.

Some time after their random talks, a sudden doubt popped up in Max's mind.

"Aiten, do you really love me or you said that just to get over your  pain?" Max asked.

Everyone were eager to hear this answer from him. Max's same question lingered in their minds as well.

" I really love you. Why do you ask that?" Aiten asked back.

" You know, you answered real quick. I just don't think it's easy for someone to forget someone quickly and move on to another." Max replied.

"Oh yeah. That wasn't a quick decision. There is a long story behind that." He explained.

Max stared into his eyes and waited patiently for him to narrate it.

"I knew you had feelings for me since the first time we met." Aiten began.

"I was never in a true love with Neorah. I knew that she was lonely. That's why I never left her - But things changed when I saw you. I felt a different feeling or a pull towards you, to be exact. I always noticed your heart flutter when ever you came across me. And I knew it was love." Aiten grinned, dusting off his old memories.

"But when I came to know that you kept Neorah's relationship with Apollo a secret from me, I couldn't stand it." Aiten closed his eyes reminiscing those painful moments.

"Neorah was only one of the reason why I switched off my humanity. You were the main reason. " Aiten said, tears welling up his eyes.

"But when I saw you begging Yuuta for not killing me, and when you attacked him for protecting me, I realised that you still had the same love you had back then. That's when my humanity came back to me." Aiten said.

Max was shocked to hear this from him. She was happy that they both felt the pull at the same time. But she was broken when she realised that she was the main reason why he became a cruel monster.She grabbed his hand quickly and mumbled,

"I am so sorry, Aiten. I - " Aiten covered her mouth before she could complete.

"It's not your fault. You did it because you didn't want to hurt me. You did it because you love me. I failed to understand that. So, this is my fault." Aiten corrected her.

Max kissed him. As soon as she released herself from the kiss, Aiten bit her neck to bond her to him.

To make her his forever.

Everyone applauded for them. They were happy that Max and the love of her life finally bonded to each other.

"Emy, how did you come to know about Neorah's spell?" James asked, finally remembering.

"Jacob informed me." She replied.
