BREATHTAKING MURDERS IN THE STREETS
____________________________________
Los Angeles: Three innocent people were brutally murdered on the street. The forensic department is confused as the victims only have a slight bruise on their neck. It is reported that they have died because of immense blood loss. The murderers are still on loose.......Emy couldn't breathe for a while. She stared at the news in shock. When she came back to her senses, she got ready for school.
On her way, she talked to Kate about the scary news she read in the newspaper.
"Kate, be careful while going out at night. The murderer is dangerous." Emy said.
"Yeah, I will be careful," Kate replied.
To Emy's surprise, there was no expression of horror on Kate's face.
At school, also she mentioned this to her friends.
"I think he is a serial killer," Leydah said.
"I too think the same," Emy added.
Sera huffed in annoyance.
"Guys, can you stop talking about this murder thing? I have something to tell you." She tapped on the table to draw their attention.
"What is it Sera?" Emy asked, rolling her eyes.
"Christen kissed me yesterday." Sera blushed.
"What? Really? And you are telling this now?" Leydah squealed.
"Leydah, you didn't give me a gap to say. You were busy talking about that murder." Sera snapped.
"Ok. Now tell us everything about it." She said, suddenly interested.
Emy noticed that Kate was in some other world when Sera was talking. She felt that Kate's mind was disturbed.
"Kate, are you alright?" Emy enquired.
"Yes, I am good Emy. Why did you ask that suddenly?" She asked back.
"I thought your mind was disturbed. You were in some other world." Emy explained.
"Kate, have you ever been dumped by someone?" Leydah queried.
"Once," Kate answered.
"Oh OK. So that's the thing. You were thinking about him, weren't you?" Leydah enquired.
"Yeah," Kate admitted.
"Tell us all about it," Sera added.
"It isn't much of a story. It happened two years ago. He was in high school then. We were very close friends. One day he told me that he liked me and that he wants me to be his girlfriend. I also had feelings for him. So we hooked up. But then he found someone else close to his age. She was prettier than me too. So he broke up with me. That's it." Kate explained.
"That pervert just broke up with you like that?" Leydah questioned.
"Yeah." Kate sighed.
"It's fine Kate. He doesn't deserve you. You will find someone better than him." Sera comforted her.
" I hope so." Kate smiled.
"Hey, ladies" someone called out.
"Hey, Mike" Leydah waved her hand, enthusiastic.
"Leydah, I guess it's time for you to go then." Emy grinned.
"Well, yeah. See you later." Leydah stood up and waved her hand.
"Kate, that is Mike, Leydah's boyfriend." Emy introduced.
"I know him," Kate said.
"Sera, I guess Christen is waiting for you," Emy informed her, seeing her boyfriend with Mike.
"Oh yeah Emy, see you later. Bye Kate." She too stood up from the seat and walked towards them.
"Bye" Kate and Emy said in unison.
"Looks like it's just the two of us now." Emy grinned.
"Haha yeah." Kate grinned back.
"Emy, do you know that redshirt guy sitting over there?" Kate asked.
"No, I don't why?." She asked back.
"He has been starring me for a while." She replied.
