Both Emy and James were speechless after hearing Max's story.

"That son of a bitch really don't deserve to live after what he did to you. He should have died a long while ago." James spat in rage.

Emy nodded in agreement wiping her tears which exploded from her eyes as a result of listening to Max's dreadful past. Max sighed reminiscing what she went through. Just then Kate came out of  the room along with Seth.

"Max! When did you arrive?" Kate exclaimed rushing to her side and hugging her.

"Just a few minutes ago. I heard you were having a wonderful moment inside. I didn't wanna ruin it." Max winked eyeing Seth.

Kate hit her playfully. They talked about random things until the girls left them.

"Any progress,lil brother?" asked James.

"Yeah, a little." Seth answered with a grimace.

"I am so happy for you lil brother." James said hugging Seth.

Seth too was happy that he finally was able to talk his heart out to Kate. Although she didn't reply anything in positive, he was satisfied that at least she opened up her heart and let him know why she didn't want to be with him.

James told Seth about Max's past and what Jacob did to her. He also informed him about how ungrateful his mother Neorah was to Aiten. Seth flared with rage and sadness.

"Can someone be as cruel as him?"asked Seth unable to  accept what Jacob did.

"No one can  ever be like him. That's for sure. And he should be killed without mercy." James added.

Seth sighed and said,

"I am so sorry about your mother, James. "

"I am not at all bothered about her. What Max said is true. She is a bitch. At first she was with Aiten. Then with Apollo, our father,another member of our pack and God knows whom she is with now." James sighed in disgust.

Seth remained silent. He understood his brother's feelings but was helpless.

After leaving from the Stevenson residence, Kate and Emy went back to their room and Max to her home. 

"Max told us about her past." Emy said to Kate.

"She did?" asked Kate.

Emy nodded.

"He took away both of our happiness and the ones we cared a lot. My family from me and her child from her." Kate sighed.

"He is a beast who deserves no mercy. He will rot in hell." Emy spat.

"That's a sure thing."Kate agreed.

"She also told us how she met Aiten." Emy stated gleaming with joy.

"Yeah that's a cool love story. I had always wished for them to be together. But I know it's impossible. He has changed a lot now. From a kind-hearted dove to a cruel hyena." Kate paused.

"You know what? She is one of the reason why I don't wanna date someone." Kate muttered.

"Why?" asked Emy

"She is my best friend. I don't wanna hurt her. If I spend time with my boyfriend she will definitely gets Aiten's face in her head and that will hurt her like hell. I don't want that to happen." Kate replied.

Emy was amazed to hear this.

"You really are a great friend, Kate. But you should know that Max will really be happy for you and Seth if you guys are together. She wants you to be happy and live a peaceful life." Emy said.

"Really?" asked Kate grinning.

Emy nodded her head.

"By the way, what happened there between you and Seth?" asked Emy raising her eyebrow.

Kate blushed reminiscing that.

"Actually nothing happened." Kate answered.

"Really?" Emy asked doubtfully.

"Yeah, really." She answered.

"Then why are you blushing?"enquired Emy.

Kate struggled to hide her smile but her attempts were of no use.

"Don't try to lie to my face. Something did happen. Tell me all about it." Emy confronted her.

"Fine. I will tell you. The thing is, he told me that he love me and the fact that I am a vampire and I feed on blood doesn't bother him at all. He also put the strand of hair that fell on my face behind my ear. And that touch actually sent chills through my entire body. That's what happened." Kate finally avowed her.

Emy laughed uncontrollably.

"Whats there to laugh so much?" Kate questioned disliking it.

"Nothing much. I was just imagining it in my mind. You would have looked super cute then." Emy replied.

Kate hit her playfully and said,

"Don't embarrass me, Emy."

The rest of the evening went well for the both of them.

Night arrived and the brothers were getting ready for their task. It was a full moon night. And that night decided if James could ever transform into his wolf form. He was really stressed out thinking about it. Seth tried to calm him down but there was no use. James knew that it was the only option left to check if the werewolf inside him was alive. He hated to be a vampire. He never wanted the half side of his, that belonged to his mother, to dominate him and make him drain blood from innocent human beings.

At last the time came. Both the brothers witnessed the big bright full moon. The howls of wolves echoed the atmosphere. Seth felt the pain arising in his body. His hairs turned into thick fur and his dress were torn off his body revealing his big wolf body. His eyes turned golden.

James never shifted. That was the only time when he waited in eagerness to transform into the wolf inside him. He used to hate the pain when he shifted. He always cursed the wolf inside him. But it clung to him like a homeless person who wished to be cared and loved. He never knew how much the wolf inside him was important to him until it left him leaving no traces. He was devastated and wept sobbing high. Seth whimpered in sadness and placed his paw on James's leg trying to console him.

"Why did he leave me, Seth? Was I that cruel to him? I hated him. But he was a part of me. I want him so badly." James sobbed.

" Marcus!!!!! Please come back. James yelled bursting into tears.

Marcus was the name given to the wolf inside him as he was a hybrid.

Suddenly, something inside him changed. The coldness he felt all the while disappeared. He felt his body burning.  James understood that Marcus heard his call. He was so happy that he laughed loudly even in the midst of his excruciating agony. He was so thankful to the God for keeping his wolf side alive.

His dress ripped off his body revealing his thick fur and golden eyes. His canines popped out. He howled in glee. The pain didn't bother him at all. All he felt was happiness and satisfaction that his unwanted friend never left his side even when he tried to push him away.

James completed his transformation and howled at the moon in extreme happiness.

"Welcome back, Marcus." Seth greeted him.

Marcus ran along the woods howling in glee. Seth accompanied him sharing his brother's happiness. Suddenly they saw a shadow passing by. The brothers were irritated as they sensed  a vampire in their territory. They chased after the shadow until they saw someone laying down unconscious. Blood was oozing out from that person. Marcus turned her body cautiously to see her face.

Both the brothers stood aghast as they saw the face of  the person laying in front of them.
