Chapter:38

Max's POV.

After that incident I was transformed into a complete blood sucking monster. I felt miserable and devastated. I ran very far from there. I stayed inside an old building at daytime to protect myself from the sun. I tried my best not to feed on anyone but sometimes I lost my control and feasted on any human or animal that was in front of me. One night as I was searching for my prey my eyes locked upon a handsome man. But I couldn't smell his blood and it felt strange. I wooshed to him within a fraction of second, revealing my vampire face. Suddenly he caught me by my neck. I choked in discomfort. I saw his handsome face turning into a male version of mine.

"You..are..a...vampire..too?" I asked with difficulty.

"Yes. I am from the Dark Army. We came to know that a newbie vampire is in town and is out of control. So I came to take you there." He replied taking his grip off my neck.

"What is Dark Army?" I asked him,confused.

"It's like the head office of the vampires. It's organized by the highest level members,the ultimates and we are known as the Royals. We train newbies like you to control yourself and to find out your ability."he replied.

I was amazed to hear this. Jacob never mentioned about the Dark Army to me before. I thought I had to live like a monster forever. I was really happy that there was this organisation to help me control myself.

"What's your name?" I asked him.

"I am Yuuta." He replied.

"And yours?" He asked back.

"My name is Margaret but I prefer to be called as Max." I answered.

"Max sounds cool to me. "He smiled.

Soon we reached the Dark Army with our special vampire speed. It was a huge building with black curtains covering every window so that sunlight will never enter inside. We walked until I was standing in front of him.

"Aiten, this is the new vampire." Yuuta told him as he sat on the chair beside him.

"What's your name?"asked Aiten.

"I am Margaret." I replied.

"That's a strong lady's name."he complimented.

"She prefer to be called as Max." Yuuta mocked.

"But I think I would call you Margarita. That suites you better." Aiten said smiling.

I smiled back at him. His words were melodious to me. I was so impressed by him. They both helped me a lot to control myself. They even gave me the klairostone ring to protect myself from the sun. The organisation had their own witch to provide klairostones to every vampire who joined them. The only thing they weren't able to figure out was my ability. They asked me to do a lot of things to check what my hidden ability was. But there were no results. So they advised me to stay calm and focus on controlling my thirst. The more I practised the more I was able to control. Aiten took me to towns often so that I can learn to control myself when I indulge myself with more humans. That worked a lot. Whenever I lost my self control he would calm me down. In the meanwhile I became more attached to him and realised that I was falling for him.

One day as I was walking with Yuuta, I saw Aiten kissing someone. I was so heartbroken and felt my eyes welling up with tears.

"Look who is back after a long time" Yuuta exclaimed and hugged her.

"Margarita, this is my mate Neorah." Aiten introduced her to me.

I faked a smile and hugged her. I stared at her in envy as she talked to Aiten. Suddenly I saw weird images in my mind. They were regarding her. I saw her kissing someone else. I shook my head to avoid those images. But I couldn't erase them from my mind. Just then a guy walked in through the door. I was surprised because he was the same person I saw Neorah kissing with.

"Hey Apollo." Yuuta and Aiten greeted him.

"Hey" he greeted back.

"Max, this is Apollo. He is also one among us who runs this organisation. He is a werewolf." Yuuta said

Apollo stared and winked at me in a flirtatious manner. I ignored him.

Days passed. I never mentioned about my weird images to anyone. It was hard for me to watch Aiten and Neorah spending time with each other. I avoided every chance I had to talk with Aiten.

Once when I was in my room I felt someone behind me. I turned around in shock and saw Apollo smiling at me.

"Did I scare you, sweetheart?" he asked.

"What do you want, Apollo?" I questioned him.

"You. I want you." he grinned

I ignored him and walked away. But suddenly he held my hand and pinned me against the wall.

"Take your hands off me." I demanded.

"What if I don't?" he smirked and leaned towards me to kiss me.

I pushed him away and ran out. I ran until I collided into Yuuta.

"What happened Max?" he asked me concerned.

"Apollo..." I said bursting into tears.

"What did he do?" he asked understanding that Apollo did something that was not right.

"He...He tried to kiss me." I said in between my sobs.

Yuuta hugged me patting my head as I cried.

"I knew it. I knew he was a jerk." he stated

"Don't worry, Max. He will never lay his hands on you ever again." Yuuta promised me.

"Yuuta, I need to tell you something." I avowed.

"What is it?" he asked me

"When I saw Neorah at first, I got a weird image of her kissing Apollo in my mind" I told him.

He was shocked to hear that.

"Max, lets discuss this later. " he said after a short silence.

I nodded in agreement. We walked to my room. But on our way we saw Neorah and Apollo kissing each other. We both gasped in shock. They too were shocked as they saw us watching what they did.

"Yuuta??" Neorah stammered.

"How could you do this Neorah? Aiten would never forgive you if comes to know about this." he stated.

"I am so sorry. It was a mistake. I don't know what got into my mind. I will never repeat this. Please don't tell him." she pleaded, crying.

"Fine, we wont. But promise me you will never do this again." Yuuta said.

"I promise you." Neorah replied.

"I must never see you with him again." He commanded.

She nodded in agreement and walked away wiping her tears.

"And you are going to pay for what you did to her."he spat at Apollo pointing his index finger towards me.

Apollo held his head down in shame. As we reached my room, Yuuta said,

"Max, I think we succeeded in finding your hidden ability."

I stared at him puzzled.

"I think you have the power of clairvoyance."he said smiling.
