You woke up after a couple hours of sleep, and felt a lot better. You yawned, opening your eyes and sitting up.

As you sat up, you turned to see Sirius sitting right next to you. You jumped up a little, as he has scared the living hell out of you.

"Bloody hell Padfoot, you scared me!" you said, sitting more comfortably in the bed. He looked at you nervously, and scratched his head.

"Sorry. I was just worried, and needed to come see if you were alright." he said awkwardly. You smiled a little bit, and sighed.

"I'm alright. I just needed some rest, I suppose." You two sat there for a moment, and awkwardly stared at each other.

"Well I'm glad you're alright, princess." he said, grinning playfully. You rolled your eyes and scoffed, trying not to smile. "You're never gonna stop calling me that, are you?" you giggled.

He looked up at you and his cheeks were now a light shade of pink. "Never." he said, smiling. You smiled for a moment, then butterflies filled your stomach...why?

You panicked, as you knew you couldn't feel this way about him...it wouldn't be good. You quickly looked away, and fidgeted with the blanket that was over your legs.

"So, uh..how's the group?" you asked quietly. He looked out the window, and sighed. "They're alright. But everyone's so distant lately, and I've got no one to hang out with but you, and now you're stuck in here." he said, sadly.

You placed a hand on his arm and smiled. "Don't worry, mate. I'll be out of here soon, and then we can go prank Prongs and Lily or something." you said, forcing out a small laugh.

He smiled at you with a sad smile, and looked away. You notice how sad he looked, and wondered what was wrong. "Pads..are you alright? What's wrong?" you said, putting your arm over him.

He looked up at you with tears in his eyes. "It's just..(y/n) I re-" he paused for a moment, trying to find his words. "Nevermind...it's stupid..it’s not important." he said quietly, his voice cracking up.

You pulled him in, and hugged him tightly. "Hey...talk to me, Sirius. You can tell me..and I'm sure whatever it is, it isn't stupid." you said, forcing out a small smile.

He sighed heavily, and turned so he was facing you. His hands were slightly shaking, and he looked as if he were about to burst into tears.

"I don't know, (y/n)..it's just that...I guess I've been spending so much time with you, and we've had so much fun together, I just...I like you, (y/n). But i-i can't do anything about it, because I know you and Moony are like, becoming a thing or whatever, and you two are so much closer and I guess I just...I wish I had someone like that. But Moony is my best friend and I could never do that to him..ever. And you're so nice to me, and you're so much like me, you like to do pranks, skip class, and go everywhere with me and i-i just..i don't know anymore..."

At this point he was shaking. He began to cry, years streaming down his face. You sat there for a moment, taking in everything he just said. You started to panic a little bit in your head, but you kept calm.

You hugged him tightly, and rubbed his back. "I'm so sorry, Padfoot...I wish I could..I don't know..I wish I could do something, or give you advice, but..i-i don't know...you know how much Rems means to me..and I really like him. I know you can't control your feelings though, but i..i really wish I could help. You're my best friend and I care about you so so much, and I enjoy hanging out with you, and still will. All the time. I love you, Sirius..but not in that way..I'm sorry." you said, your voice cracking up as tears filled your eyes.

You two sat there for a moment, hurt hugging. In silence. Sirius pulled away from you, looking into your eyes. In that moment, you didn't even process what happened. Sirius had pulled away from the hug, and...kissed you. His lips crashed into yours, and you quickly pulled away.

"Sirius n-no. I..I sad life no. I can't.." you said.

Right when you went to scoot away from him, you heard something crash to the ground. You and Sirius both turned to see what it was.

You turned your gaze to the door, and there was a person there, standing in shock. He had dropped something on the ground, and before you could even speak, he ran off....
