It's your first day at Hogwarts, but you're a year 5. You dreaded this day, as you didn't want to be near people because of your current situation, but you knew this school would be good for you. They could help.
You get on the train, and slide into the first empty compartment you find..or at least you thought it was empty. You weren't really paying attention, to be honest. You were tired and extremely sore, not to mention the giant, bandaged-up gash in your stomach.
The thing is, you're a werewolf. You hate yourself for it. You hated the fact that you could hurt anyone...and couldn't control it. But there was a full moon last night, and you had forgotten to take your potion. When you turned, apparently you had ran out of the house, into the woods
But, you can't remember anything from last night. All you remember is waking up this morning with a very deep scratch in your stomach, which appeared to be from another wolf, maybe?
Anyways...you had slid into the compartment, not realizing there was another boy in it, sitting near the window. You opened the door, walked in, and sat down, throwing your bags above the seat. You looked up, and finally saw him looking at you, with a book opened in his hands.
"Oh, Merlin! I'm sorry, I didn't see you!! I'm just so tired and worn out, I guess I wasn't paying very much attention." Your face turned a light shade of pink, as you guys had held eye contact for a couple seconds.
The boy chuckled and said, "It's quite alright. I was supposed to meet my friends here, but it seems they aren't showing up anyways." He sighed, and turned to look out the compartment door.
You looked up, and saw him examining you, his eyes moving up and down slowly. He saw you look at him, and he quickly looked away, his face turning pink.
"You can stay in here if you'd like, I don't mind. Besides, the train is already full by now." We both glanced out the window to see that the train had started to move.
You looked at him, and smiled. "Thank you very much. I won't be much of a bother, I'm not very energetic at all right now, just sore." you said, forcing out a small smile.
You laid back in your seat, then froze as you realized what you just said. You looked up at the boy, who was now looking at you with a puzzled look on his face.
"How come you're sore?" he said. "Bloody hell, y/n. Do you think before you speak?" you said in your head. "Oh i-i was doing work around the house with my family. Lots of furniture moving yesterday." You smiled awkwardly, hoping he wouldn't question it any further.
"Oh." he said, peering out the window once again.
"I'm Remus by the way. Remus Lupin." He turned, and held his hand out, with a bright smile on his face. I took his hand, and said "Please to meet you, Remus. I'm y/n. Y/n l/n."
He shook your hand, and smiled, as his face turned pink once again. "A pleasure to meet you as well, miss y/n." He laughed, and looked down at his book.
You let out a tiny yawn after that, and he immediately looked up at you, and smiled. "Hey, why don't you get some sleep? I'll wake you up when we arrive," he said.
You looked up, your eyes filled with joy and tiredness. "You'd do that? Oh, thank you Remus!" You gave him the sweetest smile, and he smiled right back. You laid down and got comfortable, and fell asleep immediately, only one thing on your mind now..
Remus Lupin...
