full moon ~ remus lupin x reader

pain.

You woke up to someone ever so lightly shaking your shoulder. "Wakey, wakey. We're here y/n." you heard Remus say.

You sat up slowly, and you were even more sore than before. You look up and see Remus standing at the doorway. "Did you sleep well?" He smiled at you, and helped you up. Gosh, that smile is adorable.

"Not at all. That seat wasn't very comfortable. You smiled a little, and stood up.

Remus examined you carefully."Yn...are you sure this is just about moving furniture? It seems awfully more serious than that... you know you can tell me.." You looked up at him, and saw the worry in his eyes.

You let out a small sigh. You didn't want to lie to him...he was so sweet to you. But you weren't ready for anyone to know.

"Remus, I'll be okay..don't worry to much about me." You grabbed your bag, and walked out of the compartment, struggling to walk because of your stomach.

As you were walking down the train isle, somebody walks into you, a blonde haired boy, pushing into your stomach. You cry out in pain, as a wave of pain shoots through your body. You clutch your stomach, and fall on the ground.

"Y/n!! Are you okay??" Remus runs over to you, fear in his eyes. He helps you up, and puts his arm around you to help you walk.

"I'm okay, somebody just knocked me over...I'm alright." You let out a sigh, as your stomach was stinging with pain. If it was even near healing before, it definitely was worse now.

You walk off the train with Remus, his arm around you for support. You begin walking to the carriages, as three boys run up to you.

"There you are, Moony! We couldn't find you anywhere, we thought you had missed the train!" said the dark haired boy with glasses. "I was waiting for you in the last compartment, and you never showed up, and I didn't feel like looking for you. Remus said, rolling his eyes, and continued to walk,  with his arm still around you.

"Seems like you've found yourself a girl, hm Moony? Care to introduce us? " said the taller long haired boy, winking at you. You looked over at Remus. He could tell you were still in a lot of pain.

Remus stopped walking, and sighed. "This is y/n l/n. She came to my compartment because the train was full, and I was by myself because of you idiots, so I told her she could stay and get some rest. She's in pain, so I'm helping her. Be nice or I'll bite your fingers off." Remus rolled his eyes and smiled, looking at you to make sure you were still okay. You smiled back, looking back at the boys.

The long haired boy walked up to you, and held his hand out. "Well, pleasure to meet you, gorgeous. I'm Sirius Black, but my friends call me Padfoot." He smiled, and you shook his hand. "This one here is James, aka Prongs. " he said motioning to the boy with glasses. "And this one's Peter, or Wormtail." He pointed to the shorter, quiet boy. You shook both of their hands, and felt a wave of comfort. For once you felt completely safe.

"This group right here, they're going to be my best friends. I just know it." you thought to yourself.

Remus rolled his eyes and said, "Okay now if we're done with this whole introduction ceremony, can we go to the carriages now? Because it appears they are about to leave." You giggled, and held his arm that was around you. "Let's go." you said.

As you and Remus started walking, you could hear the boys whispering and giggling behind you like little girls. You looked at Remus, who looked at you as well. You both rolled your eyes, and kept walking.

* after being on the carriages *

The carriage comes to a stop, and Remus gets off first. He steps down, and the holds your hand as you carefully step down. You wince in pain, as your leg gives out. You start to fall, and prepare to hit the ground, when you feel a pair of arms catch you.

You look up, and see Remus holding you, and your face turns pink, as he smiles at you. You felt so safe in his arms, it was so warm. Suddenly you start to tear up, and can't hold back. You start crying. In his arms. In front of eveyone. Are you kidding me? How embarrassing.

He lifts your chin, and looks into your eyes. "Hey..whats wrong?" You look up at him with tears falling down your face. "I feel like ive ruined your day. You know, you really don't have to do this. You don't have to take care of me. I'm a burden...I'm so weak, and in so much pain. I'm useless.." you trailed off, as Remus spoke over you.

"Hey..you are not useless. Not in the slightest. And in fact, you made my day a lot better. I had a terrible night last night, and you made today a lot better. I enjoy helping you. It's the right thing to do, and I'm worried about you as well." he sets you down, and puts his arm back around you so you don't fall.

"I know, but nobody should have to deal with me. Im in pain on my own account. I'm a monst..." you trailed off again, except this time everything went black. You had passed out, probably from the amount of pain you were in.

The last thing you heard before completely blacking out, was Remus yelling out, "Y/n? Are you okay? Somebody help! Wake up, please..."
