full moon ~ remus lupin x reader

panic.

You woke up Sunday morning, bright and early. You were terrified. The full moon is tonight.

You got out of bed, and got ready. You threw on a, sundress, and some sneakers, not caring how you looked. You walked out of the dorm, and practically ran down to breakfast. You saw Sirius, Remus, James, Peter, and Lily all sitting down eating breakfast.
You prayed Lily didn't tell anyone.

You walked over, and sat in between Sirius and Remus. They both looked at you, and smiled. "Hey you." Remus said, smiling as his face turned pink. "Hi Remus. How did you sleep?" you said, putting your arm around him, playfully. He looked down at his food, and smiled. "I actually slept really well, for the first time in a couple weeks." he said.

You smiled at him, and sighed in relief. "That's amazing. I'm glad." you said. You grabbed a bunch of food, and began to eat. You always ate a good meal the day of a full moon. Just so you wouldn't be weak, or hungry during your turning.

You looked up at Lily, who sat across from you. "You doing alright?" she said, smiling sadly. "Yeah I'm alright. Just nervous." you said quietly, so only she heard you. She nodded, and said "You'll be alright. Trust me. I've seen it before." You smiled, and finished eating your breakfast.

Since it was Sunday, there were not classes, so you just decided to hang out with the crew in the common room. You guys talked about your classes, and any drama going on around the castle. You tried to enjoy the day, but you were so nervous. Scared. All the time.

All these questions invaded your mind: Where are you going to go when it's time? What excuse will you come up with? What DO YOU DO?

You decide to ask Lily about it. While the group was talking, you pulled Lily aside, and into your dorm. "What's up?" she said, sitting down on your bed. You walked over, and sat down next to her. You sighed, and looked at the ground.

"It's about tonight. I need your help..I-I don't know what to do." you said, trying not to panic. She looked at you, with reassurance in her eyes. "Y/n, it'll be alright. Listen, what you can do is right before the moon comes up, take your potion and whatever you need, and go down to the forest, that way if anything happens you have an area."

You still hated every part of this. The whole idea of it. You hated yourself. You were terrified, and just wanted it all to end.

You started to cry, over thinking it all. you started having a panic attack. Struggling to breathe, gripping the pillow tightly that was sitting next to you, tears streaming down your face. At one point you're pretty sure you screamed, as thoughts rushed through your mind.

Lily tried to calm you down, but she couldn't do it. It wasn't working. Your mind was in its own place, as you continued to freak out. Then, she ran out of the room. She knew the one thing that could calm you down. She ran down the stairs, and yelled for Remus to come. He looked up at her with a worried expression, and ran after her.

"Y/n is having a panic attack. I can't calm her down...and I know you can. Please, Remus." she said, running in the dorm, with him right behind her.

"Why is she having a panic attack?" he asked. She sighed heavily, looking up at him. "I can't say. It's private, and she doesn't want anyone to know, because she doesn't like to talk about it. Just..please, Remus. I don't want her to hurt herself." Lily said, and Remus nodded. Then she left the room, so he could calm her down.

He ran up to you and grabbed your shoulders. "Y/n! Hey..calm down, I'm here. It's Remus..i'm here, please...calm down." he said, his eyes filling with tears. He hated seeing you like this. It's scared him and hurt him. He got you to come back to your senses, but you were still crying.

You grabbed his hand, and squeezed it. He truly was the only thing that could calm you down. He hugged you as tight as he could, as a couple lonely tears fell down his face. He held you in his arms, not letting you go. "Y/n, you scared me..." he said, as he let go of you. He looked into your eyes, and you felt safe with him. Whenever he was around you, you felt safe. You felt happy. You felt like you belonged...but you didn't know why he made you feel this way.

"I-Im sorry.." you said, sniffling. He lifted his hand, and wiped the tears from your face. You two stared into each other's eyes for a moment, nothing in the world in your way, except the two of you. In this room. He kept his hand on your face for a moment, as you both leaned in.

Your heart was racing, beating a million times per second, as your lips touched, the both of you losing all thoughts in your mind, except for each other. You kissed each other softly for a moment, and then pulled away. You were at a loss for words.

He smiled, and held your hand. "Are you alright?" he said. You blushed, and looked back up at him. "Better now." you said. He chuckled softly, and you two didn't say a word about what just happened. Gosh, you're both so awkward.

You laid down, using his lap as a pillow, and you two sat there, him playing with your hair, as you talked about school, or anything to keep these racing thoughts off your mind.
