the sorting.

You wake up, and it appears to be the next morning. You sit up, and groan as pain shoots through your body once again. By now, you're almost used to the pain.

You look over and see Remus sitting in a chair next to your bed, fast asleep, with an open book in his hands.

"Bloody hell. Did he really stay here all night?" you said in your head. You sigh, and turn your body to face towards him. You ruffle his hair, and say "Hey sleepyhead, I'm up."

He opens his eyes, and yawns. He looks up, and his eyes widen, as he sees you sitting in front of him. "Y/N!! You're awake!" he says, smiling and gently hugging you.

You felt your whole body explode with warmth as he hugged you. You had a weird feeling. Butterflies instantly filled your stomach, and you felt your face turn red. You felt safe. What was this feeling, though?

"Yeah, I'm okay now." you said, smiling at him. He looked at you and frowned. "Y/n..last time you said you were okay, you fainted right in front of me." He looked into my eyes, searching for answers.

"Y/n, are you sure you're okay? You know you can tell me anything." He said, sighing. You nodded your head, not wanting to accidentally say anything.

He sighed, and looked at Madame Pomfrey. "Is she able to go the Great Hall for breakfast with me? She needs to be sorted into her house, as well."

She turned around and looked at you, then looked back at Remus. "Fine. If she wants to go, and is strong enough to, then she may. Just make sure she gets there safely." she sighed.

Remus shot up from his chair, and helped you up. "Cmon, let's go. You haven't eaten at all, you need to eat something." You got up and walked to the Great Hall.

When you got to the Great Hall, everyone stared at you as you walked in, well more like limped, with Remus' arm around you.

A tall man with a white beard came up to you. "Ah, y/n, great to see you. I'm Professor Dumbledore. Are you feeling better?" he said, as if it wasn't obvious you were still in pain.

You stared at him blankly. "Uh..yeah I'm a little better, I guess."

He smiled, and walked over to a table and grabbed something. It appeared to be a hat. He told you to sit on the stool, that was placed in front of everyone. You were very confused, but sat down anyways.

He placed the hat on your head, and you jumped in shock, as it began speaking. "Ah,an interesting..creature, I see. Hm, it shall be....GRYFFINDOR!"

All the gryffindors shot up and cheered, including Remus. He looked so unbelievably happy, it made you smile. You got up, and Remus helped you to the table.

"I'm so glad you got gryffindor." he said, smiling at you, and squeezed your shoulder. Sirius, who was sitting across from you, began to speak:

"Say, y/n, why'd the hat call you a creature?"

You turned pale, as the four boys looked at you, waiting for an answer. "Oh, uh..i-i don't know? Maybe it was just a nickname or something.." you said, nervously. "Wow, y/n. Amazing lying skills. As if you couldn't be any more obvious you're hiding something." you said in your head.

Remus looked at you with suspicion, but didn't say anything. You finished eating, and went to the common room, since Madam Pomfrey said you could go, and just to come back if you needed anything. You saw that you were sharing a dorm with a girl named Lily. You walked in, and the girl was on her bed, reading a book.

She looked up at you, and immediately set her book down.
