Chapter 5

Noelia p.o.v
It's a week later and i'm still at the shelter, today Mark comes to pick me up. I sit on the ground playing with the dollhouse again when the door opens and Mark walks in 'Noelia honey ' Mark says and i stand up and run to him ' Mark ' i say ' hey honey, you alright? ' Mark says friendly ' yes i am, i just brought Caro to the hospital ' i say and Mark looks at me ' was Caro sick honey? ' Mark asks friendly ' no, a strange man came in her house and stabbed her ' i say and Mark looks worried at me and than at Wendy ' we watched her play with the dollhouse a few times ' Wendy says and looks at me, i already got back at the dollhouse, playing again ' at first her games where like normal fantasy games like girls have from her age ' Wendy says and Mark nods ' but one day it changed ' Wendy says ' how do you mean it changed? ' Mark asks and looks at Wendy and than at me and Wendy sighs heavily ' it started with just an innocent accident, she was playing with the dolls, the dolls where going on vacation i believe, as longer as she played with the dolls, the worser it got, we had to stop her by force ' Wendy says with worry in her eyes ' we watched it for a few weeks, hoping it might change her game ' Wendy says ' did her game changed? ' Mark asks looking at me worrying ' no it didn't, it became worser every single time we let her play too long with the dollhouse, it was like she was in her own world, nobody could reach her, it was awful Mark really, it broke my heart seeing her like that ' Wendy says and looks at me ' that's awful Wendy, what did you do? ' Mark says worried and looks at me too ' we had to call for help, i mentioned our behavioral expert to give it a try ' Wendy says ' what happend after that? ' Mark asks worried ' she watched Noelia for the next few weeks, and came to us to report what happend that day every night as the kids where sleeping ' Wendy says and sighs ' what did she discovered? ' Mark asks worried ' it was more worser than we ever thought Mark ' Wendy says ' what did she say? ' Mark asks worried ' when she was playing with Noelia the first day it was like Noelia didn't notice she was there, our behavioral expert told us later that that was normal, kids don't notice you that quickly if they're completely into their game ' Wendy says and Mark nods and looks at me worrying ' so we weren't worrying at first, she didn't notice our behavioral expert, nothing to worry about it was normal ' Wendy says and Mark nods ' so our behavioral expert came back the next morning after breakfast, and got a quick check in from our child psychologist who watched Noelia's mental health during the day and half of the night, her mental status went up when she was playing with the dollhouse, that means she was very far away during the game she played at the dollhouse, and it went back to normal when she stopped playing ' Wendy says ' that sounds like something to worry about ' Mark says worried ' yes indeed, we where a little worried for one moment, our behavioral expert walked to Noelia and kneeled down at her side watching her play, talking to her with a friendly and calm voice trying to get her attention, it was for the first time that Noelia reacted at our behavioral expert, my heart skipped a beat, it was something we couldn't reach in weeks maybe days ' Wendy says ' what did the behavioral expert say to her? ' Mark asks worried ' Noelia responded to one of her questions ' Wendy says 'what was the question? ' Mark asks worried ' she asked Noelia what she was playing ' Wendy says 'okay, what was Noelia's answer? ' Mark asks worried ' she first looked at our behavioral expert for like 5 minutes than answered the question with saying that she was playing a game she learned at the house she was kept in ' Wendy says and Mark looks at her worried and walks to me ' Noelia ' Mark says friendly and i look at him ' yes ' i say putting the dolls down ' what where you playing? ' Mark asks friendly ' Dalisha and i were cleaning up there ' i say and point at the living room of the dollhouse without noticing that the behavioral expert enters the room to. Mark looks at where i point my finger at ' it's already clean honey ' Mark says friendly ' yeah it is, Dalisha and i were making fun and jokes ' i say and Mark nods and looks at me ' but than a bad bad man comes in ' i say and grab a man doll and make him walk into the living room and Mark, Wendy and the behavioral expert look at me ' what does the bad man do honey? ' Mark asks friendly ' on his way to the living room he grabs a whip ' i say and pick a toy whip out of the box and click it into the man doll his hand and make him walk further and Mark nods ' what happend than honey? ' Mark asks friendly and i look at the dolls ' Dalisha and i ran for the door, trying to flew ' i say and grab Dalisha and make her run and Mark nods and looks at the dolls 'we ran very fast, but he was faster and grabbed us ' i say and grab the man doll and make him grab Dalisha ' so he asked me what we were doing and i told him we cleaned the living room, he didn't believe us ' i say and look at the dolls and put them down ' Noelia you alright honey? ' Mark asks friendly ' i don't wanna play anymore with the dollhouse now ' i say and stand up and Mark stands up to ' you don't have to honey ' Mark says friendly and Wendy and the behavioral expert nodded and i look at them and nod and walk to the bookshelf and grab a book ' that was intense ' Mark says and Wendy and the behavioral expert nod again ' that's what Noelia's behavior is since we let her play with the dollhouse ' the behavioral expert says and looks at me ' it was like she was completely reliving it all over again ' Mark says a little worried and the behavioral expert nods and looks at Mark ' i was thinking but maybe it's a bad idea after all ' the behavioral expert says ' what where you thinking? ' Mark asks ' i had an idea what might be can help especially now she started to talk to us and starts to trust us, we can bring her back to that house on a careful way like walking ' the behavioral expert says ' you think that might help her recall what happend there and tell it to us? ' Mark asks ' yes i think it might be work, Noelia really likes to go for a walk ' the behavioral expert says ' it's worth a try Mark ' Wendy says ' yes it is, but what if she freaks out, getting too scared to talk, i don't know ' Mark says and looks at me ' that's indeed something we must keep in mind ' Wendy says ' we can try it, if it doesn't help or she gets scared, we stop immediately ' the behavioral expert says ' okay ' Wendy and Mark says and Mark walks up to me ' Noelia honey you wanna go for a walk? ' Mark asks friendly and i nod and grab my jacket and we start walking.
