It was your favorite time of the year ; summer time . All the flowers were blooming , the grass was wild , there were new animals , everything about summer was perfect for to you . Most important of all , school was out and you could spend all the time you wanted with Draco .

Today was particularly special , you had a date with Draco . You wake up to the sun shining bright through your curtains . You sit up in the bed while rubbing the sleepiness from your eyes and stretch . The smell of coffee and syrup filled your bedroom and you smile to yourself as you get up and get into the shower .

As you stand under the hot water , you look at the diamond band on your left hand and smile . When yours and Draco's relationship marked a year he gave you the promise ring .

~~ Flashback ~~
You stood on the astronomy tower with Draco's arms around your waist , looking at the stars and darkness that surrounded you . " Y/N , I know that we said we wouldn't say it until we were ready but I think i'm ready .. " Draco removes his arms from around you and makes you face him .

You see a twinkle in his eye as he kisses your cheek and pulls a small black box from his pocket . " I love you darling . I've known i've loved you for a while actually but I was afraid of your reaction since we've only been together a year . You bring so much to my life and I want you to wear this ring as a promise that I will always love you . Even if we don't get the luxury of being together forever . If you wear this band , I will continue to love you no matter the circumstances . " Draco smiles as a single tear falls from his eye and he opens the box to reveal the silver band encrusted with thousands of tiny diamonds .

" Draco , I-I love it and you . I love you . " You say shocked as he slides the band perfectly onto your finger . Draco raises your chin so that your looking directly at him and he kisses you passionately . His lips so perfect on yours , they felt so soft and tasted like mint chewing gum . You smile as he pulls away from the kiss and wraps his arms around you once again .

~~ Flashback Over ~~

The simple band meant the world to you , it symbolized the entire existence of your relationship , of your love for each other . You finish up your shower and get out , wrapping a towel around your body . You dry off and get dressed . ( pic of outfit inserted at the bottom ) . You top your outfit off with a pair of white boots , you leave your hair in it's straight state and go down the stairs .

You knock softly on door of your fathers study before opening the door . " I'm leaving for my date with Draco . I'll be back tomorrow . " Your father simply nods and you force a smile before closing the door back . You use your wand to apparate to the manor . You knock on the door and Narcissa opens it with a smile . " Y/N ! Darling it's so nice to see you again , Draco didn't mention he was expecting you today . " She says with a smile and pulls you into a warm hug .

Narcissa absolutely adored you . Lucius on the other hand couldn't stand how opinionated you are , he tolerates you to the bare minimum . You never know when he could explode in your company . As you stand at the door while Narcissa mumbles on about not expecting you , you see as Draco comes down the stairs in a black suit . It seemed as if time stopped around you . You watched as Draco walked down the stairs in what felt like slow motion while fastening the button on his blazer . As he reaches the bottom of the stairs he licks his lips and smiles .

" Mother , thank you for keeping Y/N but I have it from here . " Narcissa walks away , leaving you standing there in front of Draco star stuck as if it were the first time you ever seen him . Draco kisses your cheek and whispers in your ear , " I take it you like what you see but I promise I look more pleasing without clothes . " His breath was hot on your neck and smell of mint chewing gum and his cologne was smokey and vanilla smelling . You clear your throat and he stands straight while smiling and kissing your lips softly .
