Nancy and Damon didn't know how long they had been sitting there on the beach. But they knew they had definitely missed the party.

It had already dropped dark and the two still sat there, a fire beside them as they stared out across the Storybrooke bay and just enjoyed the silence together.

Only their breaths made sound while the fire crackled beside them giving off heat and light that the two didn't realise they had craved.

"Are you happy?" Damon spoke after a moment. "What do you mean?" She asked about his rather abrupt question and he shrugged. "Here with your dad and the town.....your people."

"They're hardly 'my people' Damon. Yes they come from the enchanted forest, but I haven't called that home in decades. Mystic Falls was my home."

"Was?" He asked her and she sighed. "I loved Mystic Falls and everyone there, but I needed a change- I was suffocating." She told him and he nodded.

"I get it- I know it doesn't seem like I do, but I do." He said calm washing over her as he held her shoulder.

But then the moment broke- when the ground below them gave a rumble and a giant beam of light shot from one of the hills above the town.

"What the?-." She went to say but he jumped up  and pulled her with him. "That can't be good!"
"It isn't!" So without hesitation the two ran back towards the town.

Running through the streets no one else seemed to have noticed the literal tower of light in the distance so the two moved closer to investigate. Finding themselves on the top of one of the hills Damon had been near the day before where he and the others had followed the mob.

"It's coming from the farm house!" She yelled over the lapping wind that seemed to spin around the mysterious pillar as if broke through the roof of the barn.

"What do we do?" He yelled to her expecting her to know what this was. "Run?!" She replied and so they turned to run- but they were too late.

The current-like winds got them and was now dragging the two towards the barn as the doors were ripped inward from their hinges and the two were torn backward towards what seemed to be a giant portal in the ground of the barn.

"Nancy!" Damon yelled as he grabbed the edge of the barn and then her hand. She gripped onto him but it was no use his hand slipped and they were falling again.

"Damon!" Was the last thing she screamed before they were both dragged into the portal and disappeared from the barn.

Unbeknownst to them- Emma and Killian were about to suffer the exact same fate.
