"Run Bae!"

Hearts pounding, ears ringing and feet thundering. Two teens stumbled through the thick foliage of the humid forest floor.

Perspiration dropped down every piece of exposed skin while their loose pirate blouses and riding leggings clung to them in the dense heat.

It was nearing late evening on the island; the dying sun casting it's extending shadows over the trees and hills of the island, bathing the two teens in it's warm amber glow.

But this warmth wasn't soothing, it was suffocating and deadly.

They were a boy and girl, both around fifteen. The girl had a tanned complexion and dark hair and eyes while the boy was paler with sandy brown hair and lighter eyes.

He held her hand hard in his as he pulled her behind him, her dark hair trailing in the gentle breeze that blew southernly from the mermaid cove, down the island.

I'm her free hand the girl clutched the hilt of an ornate sword, it's handle marked with a large ruby and it's blade perfectly shined and sharpened. It was her pride and joy.

That and the locket she wore everyday her whole life.

The boy guided her through the trees with expert knowledge of the islands' layout especially the trail towards their hideaway.

The hoots and haulers from behind them had began to dissipate through the forest but that could have been deceiving.

Twenty or more, indoctrinated teenage boys with scarily good combat and aim training, equipped with deadly, poison-tipped arrows and swords had been chasing the two down. Hunting then for their master.

It had been a terrifyingly 'real' game of hide and seek that had been raging back and forth for years and that day there was a rather close call for that escapees.

Baelfire held Nancy's hand tight in his grip, so hard his knuckles grew white as they sprinted across the root-covered forest floor.

"We're nearly at the waterfall! Come on Nance." He exclaimed to her and her hold seemed to tighten on his hand and her sword.

The two dove down one more small decline, stumbling and rolling in their rough, worn boots until they came to the edge of a small, glowing pond.
