Third person POV

The tension in that room was palpable.

Regina's office had never been so quiet and yet so full at once.

The mayor herself was stood, leaning against her desk as Snow stood holding Neil in her arms, David at her side. Belle was stood a few feet to his left holding a big leather bound book for Bonnie.

Emma and Bonnie were poised over the coffin in that centre of the room while Caroline was sat with Ric holding her shoulder supportively and the two new comers Tyler and Jeremy stood behind them both of their arms crossed.

Matt was hunched over on the couch beside Caroline his elbows balanced on his knees. Enzo was stood near that door, leaning sideways against the wall and Damon was brooding in the corner, nursing a bottle of bourbon in his arms, taking the occasional long swig.

Poor young Henry was watching all of that adults in the room with careful eyes from his spot in his mother's desk chair behind the action.

Finally Nancy, her father and Stefan were stood on the other side of the room. Nancy's face was oddly hidden, her head down while Stefan's eyes seemed to be flitting across the room nervously.

"So how does this work?" Regina broke the silence first and they all collectively released a breath nine of them knew they were holding.

"We need to create a link around the room, light the candles and Emma and I need to start by drawing in all the light magic in the room."

"And with that- you'll need my help." Came another voice that made them all look up to the door.

And there in the doorway was the Blue Fairy.

"Mother Superior?" Bonnie asked confused. "Light magic is fairy work my dear- no matter how pure of a witch you are."

And so without another word, Blue crossed the room and grasped both Bonnie and Emma's hands. "Everyone join hands and form a second circle around us.....and whatever you do- do not let go." The fairy ordered before she started to slowly mumble the ages old Latin of the spell to herself.

Bonnie and Emma slowly joined her until the three of them spoke in-sync. A wind began to pick up and spiral around the room as every candle they had accumulated in the room ignited and the wind grew more intense.

The coffin gave a soft rumble before a brilliant bright white light shone through it's cracks and the lid over Elena's face flew open, swinging of it's own accord, revealing the sleeping beauty in the box.

The group around the three women and the girl in the coffin all began to struggle to keep their hands interlaced but powered through as poor baby Neil began to wail in his push chair and Henry rushed from the desk chair to his baby uncle's side.

Caroline, who ha sheen forced to opt out of the spell stood and covered herself behind the couch motioning Henry and the baby in his arms to join her in her relative 'safety' until she forced him to crouch.

A good idea, because suddenly the group were blown back against walls and book shelves. All of them winded, smashed glass and books, ornaments and vases of flowers being knocked off of walls and shelves.

As the dust settled everyone began to groan and slowly wobble to their feet. David checking his wife and Killian fussing over a cut on his daughters head before she shoved him off towards Emma. "Papa I'm fine!"

"Is everyone ok?!" Stefan's voice echoed and they all gave varied replies. "Did it work?" Caroline meekly asked trying to catch a glimpse of the coffin but the mother superior sadly shuck her head. "I'm sorry- it appears the curse was too binding....even for light magic."

"But! But it had to!" Bonnie cried out her face hoovering over Elena's still one in the coffin. "Bonnie Love-."
"No enzo! It was supposed to bring her back! I was supposed to see her again....I....I-."

The Bennett witch was hysterical. Sobbing and sobbing until her tears had stained Elena's dark purple jumper an even darker shade.

Ric and Matt came forward to pull her gently back before Nancy intervened and pulled the shaking girl to her chest. "Bonnie, Bonnie it's alright.....it's alright.....we'll get her back.....we'll find a way to get her ba-."

"Hello?"

And that's when time seemed to freeze.

All eyes snapped to the middle of the room, where in the coffin- the still girl no longer lay.

Instead she was sat up, her eyes were open and her mouth was wide in shock.

She was awake.

And before anyone could do more to react, she mumbled out loud.

"I'm awake."
