Finding Lily had been surprisingly easy. Convincing her was a little less so.
Snow and Emma had locked themselves up with the dragon's daughter while the ex-Mystic Falls residents sat around in the motel café for what felt like days.
They had been gone from Storybrooke a total of twenty seven hours and already they were itching to return.
Caroline and Elena had kept Bonnie in touch but had both fallen asleep the night before and were yet to reply again the next morning.
Stefan had been trying Nancy's phone all day but would only get to her voicemail until that was full too.
Damon had shot Ric a single text to which the response was "all good, working now. See you when you get home."
So the group were for all intents and purposes, cut off.
That was until Emma emerged from Lily's motel room and addressed the group, a worried face and her phone clutched in her hand.
"Have any of you heard from Nancy?" She demanded. "No." Matt shuck his head as the others all perked up. "Her and her dad aren't answering their phones and David says they have henry........and the Jolly Roger wasn't on the harbour this morning." She quickly summarised and a sinking feeling settled over the group.
"But it can't leave the harbour without a crew." Stefan said confused.
"And they don't have one anymore." Bonnie nodded."Well someone is manning the ship and it's not in the harbour." Emma said and Snow and Lily appeared in the doorway behind her.
"What's going on?" The ex-princess ordered. "Henry, Killian and Nancy are missing and so is Killian's ship." Emma told her mother.
"Are these friends of yours?" Lily asked in a confused tone. "My son, my boyfr- my friend and his daughter."
"Then I guess I'll come with you......home."
-.-.-.-.-
David Nolan was not quick to worry. But he was a fierce protector and with the rate that things went wrong in his town, he had grown a keen sense of timing when it came to causes for concern.
Once he'd realised the boat was missing along with his grandchild and his caretakers, the prince leapt into action.
Tyler, Jeremy, Elena and Ric joined him on the dock mid the next morning to begin their search. Caroline soon joined them too with Enzo. The babies had been left with granny and baby Neil.
"How did they get out of the harbour?" Enzo pondered as the group watched the shoreline for any movement.
"Maybe they just moved it out and couldn't get it back in the bay?" Caroline offered but the more sea-aware among them shuck their heads.
"Call Nancy again." David pointed at the phone in Tyler's hand who nodded and began dialling.
-.-.-.-
A light buzzing noise broke through the sounds of water dripping and running and perked Nancy's mind when she realised it was her phone, buzzing in the pocket of her leather jacket. She tried her hardest to use her free hand and eventually the devise was pulled out of her pocket and was put between her ear and shoulder as she pressed the receiver button.
"Hello!" She yelled into the phone.
"Nance! Nancy! Where are you?.....this line is terrible." It was the crackling voice of Tyler. "Tyler! Tyler we're trapped! Me and Henry! It's a cave.""You're what?.....a where?" The broken sound of his voice came through grainy and distorted. "TYLER!" she yelled desperately as she tugged and tugged at the chain until it finally snapped and she fell back into the small pool of water that had formed around her ankles.
Henry was still huddled in the corner sitting in the shallow water with it up to his waist as he remained sitting.
"We're trapped.....the water.....the water's rising.......and he's got my dad." She yelled into the phone as the sound of voices could be heard mumbled in the background.
"Nancy......nance it's really hard to hear you......are you hurt? Where's Henry?"
"He's here.....we're fine.....but we're gonna drown in here if you don't get us out.""Nance.....you're......you're breaking......up."
"Tyler!?"
"Nancy we'll find you......I promise."Then the line went dead.
-.-.-.-
"She said something about rising water....and a cave." Tyler summarised for the group. "She said someone has her dad."
"Where is there in town that floods with water?" Elena asked looking to David who was oddly quiet. He seemed almost shell shocked.
"There's the old minors caves that connect to the sea wall on the north side of the harbour but they were closed down.....erosion and flooding made them so dangerous they would kill anyone trapped-.......oh my god." A sudden, horrific realisation came to the Prince.
"We have to find them." He then spoke with the most conviction any of them had ever seen. "We will." Ric nodded at him, even as a new father the man still understood the desperation of a man parted from his child- or in the prince's case, his grandchild.
"Call Leroy.....we need maps of the tunnels and the old caves." He told Ric who nodded. "Caroline, get Regina.....we need her help."
"Elena call that others....we need them home and you four can help me.....we've gotta find that boat."
