Flashback part2

Alaric joined Nancy at the head of the venue as they both watched down the aisle. She could tell the groom was nervous as his eyes darted around and then hers locked with Stefan who shot her a thumbs up.

"Thank you for doing this Nance." Alaric mumbled and she smiled. "No problem Ric, you deserve this." She patted his shoulder before he spoke again. "Don't worry about Damon." He said,
"He'll make the right choice."

"That's what worries me.....the right choice to him- is this."
He just smiled supportively at her and she agave up trying to worry herself- she needed to focus.

So she forced herself to flatten her purple dress and she stood facing straight down the aisle.

Damon and Elena were missing and so was Bonnie and Matt, Jo was probably freaking out in the back and Caroline- who'd taken charge of organising everyone that day- was now furiously pacing at the other end of the room with her phone to her ear and a clipboard in hand.

Eventually the best man and maid of honour appeared both looking disheveled and covered in hay. (Great- was all Nancy's mind could sarcastically muster to keep her emotions at bay.)

Damon took Elena's arm- on the wrong side- and the two messily shuffled down the aisle, swapping around half-way and eventually meeting the officiant and groom at the 'altar'.

Damon stood behind Ric while Elena stood on Jo's side where the bride would soon be.

Alaric's face was pure adoration and raw love as he spotted Jo looking heavenly in her white dress, her father Joshua walking her towards the four at the end of the aisle.

The smiles never left their faces as Jo was passed on by Joshua and Nancy cleared her throat.

"Please be seated..."

Nancy's opening speech had caused a few laughs and a few tears before she passed over the Ric who gave the most devoted, heartwarming vows she had ever heard.

Then it was Jo's turn. The bride geared up to combat her soon-to-be spouse but her words never came.

Her admission of love and devotion, like her life- was cut short.

As she went to begin her vows- "Alaric Saltzman....yours are-." When she suddenly keeled over in pain.

At first Nancy and the others mistook this for a pregnancy side effect, like a cramp, and Nancy placed a calming hand on the witch's shoulder.

But no.

What was to come was truly horrifying.

Red blood began to pool on white satin as Jo cried out in pain ans clutched her stomach. The tip of a knife materialised from her torso, protruding through her once gorgeous looking dress- now a mangled, bloody fabric wrapped around a dying woman.

Jo collapsed forward into Ric's arms who wailed desperately at the sight of his bleeding out wife- both of them now crumbled on the stage floor.

As the bride fell, a figure appeared behind where she had been.

Kai Parker. The dying bride's brother.

The psychopath was grinning ear the ear. "I was gonna wait for the death do you part bit, but it felt a bit too on the nose." He quipped a maniacal glint in his eyes.

"Kai!" Joshua yelled from the front row as he tore up out of his seat ready to kill his evil son. But he didn't get far.

Nancy was already making an attempt to attack and subdue or kill Kai, but the siphon was too strong.
