"She knew them Stefan." Damon snapped at his brother in a whispered voice as he glared at the younger vampire. The two were stood in the dorm building's common area back at Whitmore the next morning.
After Nancy had ran away the night before he decided to hear out the mysterious pair and told them to follow him to the college. They got motel room nearby and were meeting him and his brother at the campus bar that day so they could go search for Nancy together.
What Damon hadn't told Stefan was, he was sending Bonnie and Alaric to do his dirty work for his mother and collect her heretic child 'Oscar' from Myrtle Beach.
The witch and ex-original were taking over that quest while he helped rectify the situation with
Nancy, and despite not telling Stefan, Damon knew she wouldn't want to see him."You're sure?" The younger brother asked as he stood soaking up the information from Damon.Nancy's father was here, he's been searching all that time for her and had finally found her.
The two both realised the absurdity of his and Emma Swan's story but a bill of good faith lead them to trust it. While Stefan remained slightly skeptical he knew the strength of Nancy and knew if she were to run away, something had to have shocked her to her core.

"Where do you think she'd go?" Emma asked the two brothers later that morning as the four of them made their way to Damon's Chevy Camaro in the bar parking lot.
"She won't have left Mystic, and there, there is so many places where she could be." Stefan told them as his brother stayed silent. "Come on Damon, you know Tori best.....where is she?" Stefan snapped at Damon who he knew was acting strange.
"My first guess is the grave yard of the quarry." Damon gave after a heavy sigh. Emma and Killian shared a look in the back of the car as they listened to the two brothers. "How long have you known her?" Emma asked.
"160 years give or take." Stefan replied and she mouthed 'wow', leaning back in her seat. "How have you all stayed young for so long in a world with out magic?" Killian asked and Damon gave a dark chuckle Turing off onto a new motor way, then completely disregarding road safety to turn around and have them a look.
"Without magic?.....:We're vampires." He scoffed, then spoke bluntly and the two gave confused and questioning faces. "And what does that mean?" Killian pushed again.
"We're immortal."

The previous night, Nancy had gone back to the Lockwood mansion and had stayed in the old guest room. Pictures of Tyler and his mother lined the walls still as the house lay dormant, dust congregated on every uncovered surface and doors had grown creaky with lack of use and age. She stepped inside but she paid no heed to the wilting, unused house as she raided the wine cellar for something strong to take away the pain of seeing her father again.
She had so many questions. How was he alive? How did he find her, or even know she was alive? Where had he been all those years?
She couldn't bare the thought of seeing him again and she knew after her little run away act, Damon and Matt would have some questions.
She was hiding in their abandoned home town. Cowering in the woods behind the graveyard nursing a bottle of bourbon and a heavy mind.
She sat there, alone, on a fallen tree mulling over every second of the last 175 years of her life. She was staring blankly across the open space between the trees, a small crumbled piece of ancient looking parchment gripped loosely between her relaxed, ringed, fingers as stared and stared.
When a sudden hand was placed, silently, on her shoulder it made her jump out of her own skin. Jolting up in surprise and dropping the parchment onto the leafy ground.
The hand was cool and big on her exposed clavicle bone and she immediately recognised the daylight ring that sat on it's third finger. "Jesus Enzo! You scared the shit out of me." She snapped at her old friend turned near-rival as he looked down at her. His face held a concerned expression as his slicked back hair shined in the late-morning, Virginia sun.
The British man's face morphed into one of less worry as he took a seat beside her on the log. "You always drink alone in the woods?" He sarcastically asked and she shuck her head still staring a head with a bitter swig from the bottle.
"Trust me.....it's a well deserved 'lonely drink' in the woods." She told him and he nodded "I see.....could it, perhaps, have anything to do with the people we met at the town sign last night?" He probed her out of sheer boredom and slight intrigue.
"My father." She told him and he chuckled, "you and those brothers have all sorts of parental issues don't you."
"If you've come to annoy me Enzo, I'm really not in the mood." She snapped at him and he just chuckled again."Not here to pester you, love....merely to find out what's wrong." He assured her but she hummed in mistrust. "Excuse me for feeling skeptical about your motives, it's not everyday people work for psychotic heretic families for their own sick pleasure." She snapped and his smirk fell.
"If you're referring to me helping Lily and the heretics kidnap Caroline.....it was merely a small retaliation for what the brothers did to Malcolm." Enzo defended and she scoffed. "Yet once you aided them in that, you helped them torture her too.....I don't call that a 'small retaliation'.......what loyalty did you even have to Malcolm?" She asked as he shifted beside her. She turned her head slightly and fixed him with a sideways look, refusing to fulling turn and face him.
"They wanted to make the brothers suffer....I care for Lily and by extension her children.....and seeing Damon and Stefan squirm is amusing to me." He candidly admitted and she rolled her eyes. "Stefan wasn't even involved.....Damon doesn't care about Caroline, so why her?" The Jones girl revealed and his face fell again.
"What do you mean Stefan wasn't involved?" He asked and she chuckled darkly as he had before. "It was Damon who killed Malcolm." She told him and he glared at her. "So you helped him?"
"Bold of you to assume I'm even speaking to him let alone helping him commit murder." She sighed and he gave a confused face. Enzo shot up from his spot on the log. "So he did it alone?"
"He has his tricks." She spoke in a singsong way, taking a mother bitter swig."Of that....I am aware of." He shuddered as the memory of watching Damon and Victoria abandon him in the Augustine cells washed over him like a sickly cloud of darkness.
"You both do." He snapped at her and she shrugged as if it was nothing. "Well if you knew who I was raised by you wouldn't be surprised and as for Damon......you already do." She said before she too stood up and dusted off her pants.
"Good bye Enzo."
There was a pause as he stared at her retreating figure. But then he spoke again; "Lily is looking for something.....someone." He called after her.
She turned back.
"And? You're telling me?....I have nothing to do with the heretics and their den mother other then when they threaten and or kidnap my friends." She yelled as she glared daggers at the younger vampire.
"She's close to getting them back....calls them the final member of her 'family'.......you and the others, could be in danger."
"If it's another heretic I doubt it Enzo and I'm sure Lily won't be too pleased to hear that your selling her secrets." She snapped before she vamp sped away, leaving Enzo alone in the woods, staring at the spot where she had once been sat.Until he noticed the small piece of parchment she had dropped. On it he noticed a charcoal drawing of a younger looking version of herself and a teenage boy who seemed around the same age as her. Turning it over again he saw a scribbled inscription in perfect calligraphy;
"Nancy and Baelfire."
To say the least his interest was peaked.
