The next morning, Nancy woke with the sound of voices around her, slowly sitting up to find herself on the sofa of Alaric's apartment. "What the hell?" She groaned spotting an empty glass of wine on the coffee table and the still sleeping Damon on the floor beside her. "Morning sleeping beauty." She heard Stefan joke as he passed her a freshly brewed coffee and a blood bag. "Why are we at Ric's?"
"You and Damon got home yesterday and like I told you then.......and we've been evicted by my mother." He revised the previous night for her.

"And here I was hoping it was all just a bad dream." She sarcastically said as she sat up groaning as her head ached from the night before's drinking that she had done once she reached the apartment. "How is it that I've been around your brother both as a human and a vampire for over 150 years, yet I still want to kill him at times?" She asked the younger Salvatore who shrugged watching her sit up from her little sleeping bag on Ric's coach. "He wasn't with us when we got back, I went to bed and you went for the wine cabinet." He told her and she shrugged. "Where's Ric?"

"Something about a book in his office?" Stefan replied with a shrug and she shot him a look, "he's working?"
"Who knows." He replied and she sighed. "How was he?" Stefan asked pointing to his brother on the sofa beside her, "in Europe?"

"Drunk.....and asshole-ish." She replied and through another groan. "So normal?" He joked.
"More then normal." She replied with a deadly serious face, "he's changed Stef....and I don't like it."

"It was loosing her." He told her and she nodded, "Last time he was anything like this was that time when he thought you died when he couldn't find you at the young farm." He reminded her and she nodded, "I was just too busy fighting with tyle-Klaus." She corrected herself mid-sentence, she too recalling the time Damon had thought she was dead.

That night when she rocked up back at the board house and very done had been looking for her all day, he had hugged her and refused to let go. "Don't you ever do that to me again....or I'll kill you myself." He had sobbed into her shoulder. Never before had Stefan seen his brother so lost or emotional.

"He'll get better." She tried to be optimistic peering down at the sleeping Salvatore. "Let's hope so, Damon being bitchy for seventy years isn't the Damon I wanna deal with." He joked and she laughed, "you and me both buddy.....now, I need another blood bag."

"Coming right up." He smiled at her and she shot him a thankful grin, leaning back into the couch nursing her coffee and praying Damon woke up in a better mood then the day before.

Same morning Maine

"Swan, you don't have to do this." Killian pleaded with Emma as she packed up her yellow bug and checked the destination on her phone. "Hook, you want your daughter back.....I said I'd help, so let me help.....you need my magic to leave town anyway so you might as have me to travel to Virginia too." She ranted and he sighed in defeat.
