Scribbled Lines
After explaining everything she had been through the past few hours, the man she knew as Jung nodded his head and closed his notepad. He was apparently satisfied after thirty minutes of torturous, detailed investigation.
He slowly pushed his notepad into his pocket.
"We would also need to ask some questions from your acquaintances," he then signaled one of the random police officers to investigate her two blabbering friends.
Before the police officer even started, Konato cut him off, " well, we're not exactly just acquaintances."
Sayoko chimed in, "we're her best friend's to be precise."
Jungkook pressed his lips together to control his face and not laugh at those two's idiocity.
Hoseok on the other hand, stared at them with his eyebrows raised, with the least amount of amusement.
But Kurai, well she face-palmed.
The black-haired man faced the confused officer to rephrase himself. "Please investigate her two best friends. And keep it professional."
The way he emphasized the phrase 'best friends' made Sayoko and Konato gulp down, Jungkook smirk, and Kurai bite her bottom lip from embarrassment.
"Yes, chief," answered the officer firmly.
'So he's the police commissioner.' The young girl thought to herself.
The black haired man looked at her. "I'd like you to see something Miss Makinohara."
Then, he headed inside the house, expecting her to follow him.
Before she followed him inside, she glanced back.
The tired girl saw her friends explaining things to the police officer who was aggressively taking notes of what they said.
Then, her eyes caught the sight of the man who had accompanied her until that moment.
Jungkook's eyes were focused on her while he leaned back on the black police van. He tilted his head and smiled at her, then he waved his hand at her like she was a small child.
Kurai looked at him blankly.
'What a freak.'
Why did everyone treat her like a small kid?
She blinked a couple of times and decided to push her thoughts away and follow Hoseok inside the house.
The slim man stepped aside for her to go in first.
The young girl looked at the floor. Each of the blood drops were marked and when she looked over at the couch, she saw that they had separated it, and had drawn a shape that looked like the position her grandmother was in while she was laying on it.
She passed over the delicate obstacles around and stared at the couch.
The blood was now darkened, making the stains even worse.
She felt Hoseok standing next to her.
"I don't think I might be able to use this couch anymore," the girl stated.
The older man looked at her, slightly frowning. The couch was what she was worried about?
"You will be able to move in tomorrow. We have done most of our research, but we will finish by dawn."
Kurai nodded and stared at the bloody couch again.
The more she looked at the dark red stains, the louder the whispers got.
