Not What She Thought

It's been three weeks since everything was back to normal again.

Except that her life went on with one person less.

Kurai was working in the morgue, talking with the dead body she was dissecting.

"See? I told you it won't hurt," the petite girl said with a smile while taking out the little boy's heart.

"Too bad you died from a head injury. If your stupid parents had brought you here sooner, they wouldn't have been crying like idiots right now."

She gently started to stitch up the boy's chest.

"Such a shame. It's a huge gash in your head. All squashed up."

She softly caressed his hair. "Your brain could have been a perfect model for the newbies."

The young girl had almost finished stitching up the young boy's delicate chest when she heard a knock on the big glass door.

She looked up and she saw her friend, Sayoko.

"Hey, Kurai-chan."

Kurai was quite surprised. She didn't usually see her friend down there.

Something was up.

"Oh, hi. What brings you here?"

Sayoko shifted her gaze from the dead boy to her, trying to hide her worry. "Uh, yeah about that. Mr. Kim sent me here to tell you to go see him."

"Mr. Kim? Which Kim?"

"The boss. He wants to talk to you."

Kurai looked at the clock. Just thirty minutes more and she would be able to go back home.

Great.

Absolut great sense of timing.

Note the sarcasm.

She sighed, "let's just hope he won't fire me..."

Sayoko frowned. "Why would he do that??"

Kurai rolled her eyes. "I can't think of any other reason right now."

Sayoko puffed her chest and threw her arm around the younger's shoulder. "If he does that, I'll kill him myself."

The younger laughed as she washed her hands, "yeah right. Good luck with that. You can't even stand a drop of blood."

The older rolled her eyes and pouted at the younger's point.

As the two walked, they talked about random things and Sayoko used every chance to throw  impossible threats at the CEO, making her younger friend shake her head with disappointment.

Kurai stopped walking as she saw a door with a golden 'Mr. Kim' on it.

She looked at the elder, "I'll go see what he wants."

Sayoko nodded and watched with worry as her precious friend went in.

The young girl wanted to ask for permission from the supposed manager, but when she walked to the desk, no one was there.

'A day off maybe?' Kurai thought as she knocked on the actual door that led her to the man she knew as Kim Namjoon.

"Come in," a deep voice uttered.

The girl twisted the knob half-heartedly and opened the door.

She saw her boss looking at her with his famous dimple smile.
