Bloody Mind

She slowly woke up, groaning of the sudden pain in her head.

As she opened her eyes she saw a girl sitting next to her, with her head on the bed. She instantly recognized the girl. It was Sayoko, the one she called.

She slowly remembered everything and turned her head around to see the place. The movement caused her to feel a small sting at the back of her hand.

They had a serum injected into her hand. It was probably the reason she couldn't see the shadows or glitches.

She slowly climbed up on her hands to sit on the hospital bed. The shaky movements of the bed caused her friend to wake up and sit up quickly.

Her hair was messy and it was obvious she was drooling. Kurai laughed quietly at the sight of her sleepy friend.

Sayoko slapped herself out of sleep and her eyes instantly widened as she saw her friend.

"Kurai! oh my God, I'm so sorry I shouldn't have slept! Are you okay??"

Kurai nodded at a slow pace, then she tilted her head. The young girl already knew the answer to her question but she asked it anyway.

"Is my grandmother all right?"

Sayoko gulped down. 'How am I supposed to tell her?' She thought.

Kurai stared at her friend.

"She's dead isn't she?" her tone was eerie calm. 

Sayoko squeezed her eyes shut and nodded, ready for her friend to go insane.

But she didn't.

Kurai took a deep breath and looked over to the other chair beside the bed. Her bag was hanging on it.

She smiled at Sayoko and said, "Sayoko-chan, is Konato here too?"

Sayoko nodded. "Yeah I freaked out when you called me, so I called him too. He was so worried about you. He gone out to bring something for you eat."

"I already caused a lot of trouble. You two should go eat something too," Kurai replied, her voice was merely a whisper.

Sayoko wanted to protest to her friend, but when she saw the pleading in the younger's eyes, she gave up and nodded slightly.

Kurai's smile disappeared the instant her friend's footsteps faded away.

She crawled on the bed at an inhuman pace and grabbed her bag.

She was panting like an animal.

Controlling herself in front of her friend was quite harder than she thought.

Tears were rolling down her pale, doll face.

When she found her pills, without even thinking, she swallowed two of them.

The screams and the bloody laughter were back. The poor girl couldn't help it.

The pain in her head was hurting so bad she clawed her hair, pulling aggressively at the roots. It was pounding on her skull like tsunami waves trying to ruin the shore. 

She couldn't take it anymore.

The young girl had had enough of the creepy voices in her head. She had to overcome them. 

So, she screamed.

Loud. 

And clear.

She screamed so harshly she could taste blood in the back of her throat.

She screamed until her lungs burned. 

That was when everything went silent.

Kurai took a deep breath, then fell on her back on the hospital bed.

She couldn't stop the tears from streaming down her eyes. The glitches and the black dots were still there, so she decided to stay still in that position.

Her mind was blank for fifteen minutes, but the sudden feeling of thirst made her crawl out of the flimsy bed.

She reached for the doorknob. It wasn't a big problem to get a drink of water since she knew this rooms belonged to the hospital she worked at.

When she lazily opened the clean, white door, she saw the person she least expected to see.

'Don't drop the act.' 

She could pretend in front of everyone...

But she couldn't do it in front of a mirror.

I apologize it was kinda short- But heyyy~ the last chapter was long- 

But yeah hospital beds are a little flimsy in my opinion. I always think someone will fall out if they move too much since the same thing happened to me once-
