The Real Boss

The young girl was humming a happy toned song. It had been floating inside her head until she heard some footsteps.

As they got closer, she realized someone was running. She didn't mind. After all, She had more interesting things to do.

Suddenly she heard a bang on the blurred glass door. Her head was shot up from Mr. 105's body towards the door.

It was no one else than Konato.

He was panting as if he was running from an assassin.

Hmm, interesting enough.

"I didn't know we were allowed to do individual marathons across the hallway." She mocked him playfully.

Konato looked at her, still panting and clearly annoyed.

The younger girl smirked and asked, "so were you able to defeat your own shadow?"

He marched his way towards her, took a deep breath, grabbed her shoulders, and said, "I got a text from Sayoko."

"Okay, so?"

He exhaled, "The boss is here!!"

Kurai raised her eyebrows, her face still bored. "So?"

He examined her pretty yet poker face, "he's here with his partners."

"So?"

The young man was becoming desperate, "he's in the basement."

"So?"

"Argh! Kurai why don't you get it?? He could walk in any moment and you're standing here with that poker expression on your fa-"

He shut his mouth as they heard some footsteps. It seemed like 10 or maybe 12 people were walking towards the morgue.

Konato let go of his friend's delicate shoulders and started running towards her desk like a scared chicken, while she just stood there with her blooded hands and scissors.

Someone knocked on the semi-transparent door three times, and the click of the metal door knob was heard.

The huge door opened revealing all the hospital's receptionists including Sayoko, and seven young men. They looked like some rich businessmen.

'Did the boss send his sons or something? If so, I shall congratulate his wife for having seven kids...' Kurai whispered in her mind.

'But... they don't look anything like each other. Wait a minute... Sayoko said they were young?!' her eyes widened. Finally giving a reaction.

'No freaking way- I didn't sign up for this-' the young girl blabbered in her mind.

The younger the boss, the grumpier they'll be.

Plus, they all looked like international playboys so if their visit turned out to be a little longer, she was willing to bet they were going to turn the hospital into a five star brothel.

Kurai didn't even know those guys and there she was, judging them from their appearance.

'I should probably be ashamed of myself, but I don't know why I'm not,' she had no shame at all.

Sayoko started introducing her two gawking friends.

If Kurai were to be honest, she felt like a product on sale. She glanced at Konato who had his huge polite grin on his face.
