The Real Attitude
The young girl glanced at the clock; a quarter to nine.
'Time sure flies... I wish I could cut off its wings with an axe or something.'
She tried her best to first, clean up the mess she made while working and second, clean up herself.
She didn't want an infectious bacteria to attack her beloved granny's weak immune system.
After double-checking everything, she dragged her petite form got out of the morgue and locked the doors. Then, she patiently walked towards the changing room.
Kurai changed her white coat, which was stained with some blood drops, and grabbed her leather floppy bag.
She heard some footsteps and turned around to be greeted with Sayoko's "shining" face.
She ran towards the younger girl and hugged her shoulders. "Today we saw the boss!!" It almost felt like she screamed in her best friend's ear.
Kurai softly pushed her away and responded, "we did, but you didn't tell me they were so many! I don't even remember their names!"
She playfully narrowed her eyes. "I told he had partners, plus they are hot enough for me to remember."
The younger faked a gag and they both walked towards the main exit which was on the main floor.
They saw Konato talking on his phone. He seemed... nervous? His bills were probably due again. She shrugged off the idea and said goodbye to both of them.
After checking the clock on her phone, she facepalmed and groaned.
She literally missed the bus.
Again.
'This is really nerve wracking,' the young one thought to herself.
'I'm working in a freaking huge hospital with numerous bus stations and only one, just one of them is related to my address- dang I'm too lucky to be alive. '
She sighed tiredly and after muttering some random curses, and started walked all the way towards home.
This was one of the reasons she never wore high heels.
And oh, yes she was thankful for it.
After searching for what felt like hours, she finally found her stupid keys. She didn't know why but they seemed to like the bottom corner of her bag which her fingers barely even reached.
The small girl kicked her shoes off, not giving a single damn that she didn't even untie them first.
She walked sloppily towards the kitchen while dragging her poor bag behind her.
When she saw my grandmother she nearly yelled, "granny I'm finally home, come get me or I'll collapse!"
The elderly turned around with a happy expression. "My beloved child! Welcome back, darling."
But then her tone got more serious, "now, if you don't want to get in trouble because of that flask in your bag you better wash up and come down for dinner, my child."
Although the younger would have loved to cause some trouble, she was too tired.
So she took a short shower, skipped pants, and went down wearing an oversized t-shirt with some shorts.
She started eating like a bear, making her grandmother beyond joyful.
After helping the older woman with the dishes, she was about to fall asleep on the couch, but her motherly grandmother obviously, didn't let her.
She smiled to herself watching her whiny granddaughter crawl up the stairs.
"I wish you'd never grow up."
He knew it was a game she wanted to lose,
but she was going to make him earn that victory
and always test him to see,
if he has what it takes to win.
