Great Chat

Everything was just like a normal bloody day, except that she was standing in Kim's office.

Kim Namjoon's office, AKA, her boss.

She had to admit, he had a fancy office. One of the walls was complete glass, giving away the perfect view of the city.

It had an elegant and shiny gray theme, which surprisingly made her want to avoid any kinds of mistakes.

Psychology tricks?

Probably.

He took his eyes off the sheets on his desk, which were her papers.

All her documents and folders, including her degrees and resume.

He looked at the small girl with a nice dimple smile.

She tried to smile back, but because of the formal atmosphere, she ended up gathering some air in her cheeks, puffing them, and smiling forcefully at the same time.

He chuckled lightly and shook his head.

"Do I look that scary?" he asked softly.

'Yes. Yes, you do. You do look that scary. You look very scary. But as a good doctor who doesn't want to get fired, I'll just lie about it.'

The young girl quickly shook her head, "no sir, I'm just not used to sit in front of my boss yet."

His smile turned into a smirk. "Well, you're going to see me more than you think."

'Oh great, this dude's gonna have his nose in everything we do in this freaky hospital.'

She smiled awkwardly.

He lifted one of her folders, "You have an interesting resume, Miss Makinohara."

The young girl responded with a quiet thank you, not quite sure how to respond.

He frowned slightly as he looked at her resume. "May I know why you graduated and attended this job at such a young age?"

"Young age?"

"You are my youngest employee who has been hired here as a forensic pathologist at the age of nineteen, and it has been two years since you're working here so I suppose now you're twenty-one years old, which makes you my youngest doctor." He explained with his head slightly tilting.

The young girl lowered her head and bit her bottom lip.

'I can't possibly let him know about my condition. He'll freak out.'

"Well sir you see, both my parents died when I was young and I had been raised by my grandmother. When she retired we got into a not very perfect financial state, so I had to finish my studies and get a proper job as soon as possible." She explained with a straight and formal tone.

She didn't completely lie, she just skipped a few parts which were the real reason.

'It's not like he'll find out anyway.'

When she looked up to see his reaction, she saw his head tilting and hanging low while he had a smirk plastered on his lips, with his gaze staring into the girl's soul.

"I'm sorry about the loss of your parents."

Oh, well. He didn't seem or sound apologetic at all.

The way he acted and switched attitude made her feel uncomfortable, so she squirmed on the leather couch she was sitting on.

"Thankyou- sir."

He licked his lips and nodded slightly, but he didn't drop that smirk.

It made him look hot, and made her insecure.

Her broken feelings were starting to make her head hurt, and the uncomfortable situation she was in, didn't make it any better.

Too much stress. Too much worry.

The girl gulped her saliva and started blinking fast to control the dizziness in her head.

She looked at the huge clock in his office.

'Damn.'

She had to take her pills an hour ago.

Kurai looked back at him. He looked as if he was enjoying the situation. One of her feet started moving at a fast pace with short movements.

'If I don't take my pills right away I would cause some big, big freaky trouble.'

And no one would want that.

Her breathing started getting fast.

The youngster was choking herself to control it but the more she tried, the less she felt the oxygen in her lungs.

"All right Miss Makinohara. It was great talking to you. Thank you for your time, I really appreciate it," he said with a warm and friendly tone, the exact opposite of his face.

Then, he extended his hand.

She smiled and shook his hand quickly while struggling not to snap.

She bowed and then stormed out of his office while running to the basement.

'I better get that pill on time before the imaginary monsters get me first.'
