CHAPTER 6

It was still early in the morning when they left their hideout, the one that they had stayed in for last night. It was placed in an open area just near the western part of the Wall Rose, so there were no other casualties but them. She was glad because she didn't need to wear anything anymore to hide herself from other people, unlike when they were inside the Krolva district in Wall Rose.

Hange explained why they had to cover her face yesterday, and it was to hide her from the Military Police, which is the very enemy of the Scouting Legion inside the wall. That regiment is always against them, so if they find out Sakura's real powers, they might do anything to have custody of her. Or worse, kill her.

Yesterday, when she mentioned the titans inside the walls, it really made the three dumbfounded. Hange said that it was possible though, since no one could make a wall that high and sturdy even if they did it all together in a long period of time. So in the end they decided to put it aside until they found evidence that would prove the theory. Hange was so excited about researching, so they immediately got back to their hide out.

When Sakura got home, she searched for Sandra and asked her for the location of the one who had only survived in Levi's team. Sandra said his name is Alexis and was kind enough to offer that she would go with her.

They had been traveling for fifteen minutes now when Sakura suddenly asked about the man. Sandra looked ahead with a sad smile on her face, then started.

"He's a friend of mine. He lived in Zhiganshina with his parents and one younger sister... but when it happened, we were in an expedition, so he didn't have the chance to protect them. His mother was the only one who survived." Sakura bit her lip, eyes full of sadness.

"After that he became distant from us, and his mother was sent to a wasteland near Trost with the other refugees to help in planting foods for the solution of food shortage. He always visited her when he had time." Sakura was now more guilty than ever. The man loses his father and sister. And now his three teammates just died because of a stranger. Their years of friendship were gone in an instant, all because of her. He probably hates her, like Levi. It's all her fault.

"Don't you ever blame yourself, Sakura. I know you do. Remember what Squad Leader Hange said yesterday; it's their choice to save you. It's not your fault." Sandra said and peered at her with a reassuring face, but Sakura didn't look at her. The teen was lost in her own thoughts.

"I can never do that, Sandra-san." She muttered, If only she knew what really happened, she would probably hate her too. Her words reach Sandra but choose to keep quiet, knowing that she couldn't change the girl's mind. So, for the next thirty minutes of a calm ride, she decided to tell Sakura about her good and funny days when she was in training to lighten up the mood between them. And she thinks that she slightly succeeded.

"We're here." Sandra announced and Sakura quickly got off her horse. Wandering her eyes as she waited for Sandra to tie her horse in one of the stalls. What caught her attention was the three kids, about age 12, working really hard on planting but still chatting happily. They were the only kids that were already up and working alongside the adults.
