CHAPTER 25

Naruto freezes on his spot as he was about to put down his freshly sharpened blade. That horrible feeling... A titan... It was faint, but the feeling is always there. It's been the nth time this month, so he's already used to it. He first felt it during the battle of Trost, then it was only confirmed that Eren could turn into a titan when it was revealed inside the supreme court. If only he had known about it earlier, then he would have been able to fulfill all the questions bugging his mind.

He knew for sure what it was all about, and that's why he didn't need to go and look for it himself. They're preparing for the upcoming expedition like everyone else. To be honest, he's excited rather than scared of going out of their cages. After the battle in Trost, he realized that something could finally boost his energy, and maybe it's natural since he was naturally a ninja and that's what his body has been looking for these past years. A true action.

It's about 5 o'clock in the evening, which is still a busy hour for them, but for him, it's his cue time to escape and do what he wants. Nobody complained, and no one dared report him to their officers either. That's why he has the guts to do this. Usually, he would go to some abandoned or restricted places to train, but right now, he has a goal. And that is to find his so-called "teammate."

She said that he just has to trace her, hasn't he?

He doesn't know how to do it exactly, but he wants to try it anyway.

No one seemed to be watching him as he looked around his surroundings. Taking this as his sign, he walked a few meters away from his subordinates until he reached the same rooftop earlier. The fresh evening breeze hit his face, which made him a bit calm. He exhaled exaggeratedly, trying to get rid of the slight nervousness in his stomach. He proceeds to sense her presence while maintaining his upright posture with both hands on his sides.

Regardless of how hard he tries, the chakra from the crowd below him is making it impossible, making his focus waver and become chaotic. He can feel anything and anyone but her.

'Okay, one more time!' He shouted at the back of his mind, cheering himself up.

This time, he closes his eyes to make sure that he can concentrate more. He once again expands his chakra to find the pinkette, wind blowing through his beautiful blonde locks as time goes by in pure silence.

"Are you looking for me?"

He almost jumped from surprise from the voice behind him. Goosebumps covered his body because of the tickling sensation when her breath touched the skin at the back of his ears. "What the hell?!" He cussed in a loud yet shushed tone.

Sakura giggled. Mockery can be heard in her tone. "Did I surprise you?"

Regaining his composure, Naruto looked back at her with annoyance. "What did you just do?" He crossed his arms, demanding an answer, but all he could see was her innocent expression, which is a play, obviously.
