CHAPTER 10

"Are you okay? You look tired." Petra peered at Sakura's face with both of her brows raised. The pink-haired girl really looked like she was going to fall down, and she had dark bags under her eyes that made her worry. They were walking along with the others to their training location for today. Well, only for Sakura, rather. She was going to take the first step in mastering the three-dimensional maneuvering gear in front of everyone. But Sakura is not bothered because there's a lot more that's bothering her mind right now.

"I'm fine, I just don't get enough sleep, Petra." Sakura sighed. Her first operation in the Trost district was completed, and she found no signs of her blonde teammate. However, she was both sad and happy when she didn't find him there. She searched for many hours, and what she did was to burst her chakra into the entire district. And sneaked into all the houses to look at the people one by one with the help of her clone. But she found nothing.

She also discovered that bursting her chakra has no effect on people when she saw a man walking around that night without trouble. And that made her wonder, then why the hell did that happen to Kuchel?

Her limit was to only make three clones. If only she has a great amount of chakra like Naruto, she would be finished just before dawn with a thousand copies of herself. With a heavy heart, she returned to their barracks at five o'clock in the morning, where everyone was still asleep, and by that, she had only gotten thirty minutes of rest.

She knows that she still has a lot of places to go to, but the thought that Naruto was here, somewhere, is bothering her.

The war. Without him, they wouldn't win.

That's why she would be really glad if he wasn't here. She's fine if she was the only one who was transported here. She will find something to get out of here... somehow. And if she doesn't.... well...

"Sakura!" She almost jumped out of surprise when Petra shouted her name. She looked at the girl who was now in front of her and spotted the worried look on her face.

"Huh?" She muttered.

"I really think you should tell the commander that you're not well. You can't do anything when you can't even focus..." Petra suggested, Sakura just gazed at her face but quickly averted it when she regained awareness of what she was doing. Her face became red and forced herself to laugh while her head was turned to the side.

"Ah- I'm sorry. Don't worry! I know I can do today's exercise without difficulty!" She said exasperatedly and patted Petra's back hard enough to make the other girl shout in pain.

"Oh! I didn't notice that we were already here!" She added as she walked to the front and turned around only to find out that they were also with Oluo. She sweatdropped because she didn't know that all this time, Oluo was walking along with them. She sighed. It seems like she was really out of it today.

"That's what I was trying to say to you earlier!" Petra shouted back at her with annoyance. Sakura grins.

"Sakura Haruno!" Sakura immediately spun to face the front and saluted their commandant with a neutral expression.
