“Just try to be quick, Harry,” Jasmine said, sitting down beside Cedric’s corpse. She carefully moved his head onto her lap and gently stroked his hair. She knew he couldn’t feel it, but it helped her try to ignore the situation. “I’m so sorry, Cedric. You didn’t have to risk your life for me, but you did.” She felt a surging energy a few feet away and looked up, seeing Harry’s spell colliding with Voldemort’s spell. “Merlin’s beard.” She watched in complete surprise.

“Don’t interfere!” Voldemort yelled sternly, before two orbs floated to Harry. Jasmine stared as the orbs took the form of James and Lily, who spoke to Harry, something she couldn’t hear, being too far to hear their soft voices.

“It wasn’t your fault,” Jasmine heard a familiar voice say. She jolted a little and looked beside her, tearing up when she saw Cedric’s ghost.

“Cedric...” Jasmine said, tearing up.

“I wanted to protect you. I care about you too much, and I couldn’t forgive myself if that spell hit you,” Cedric said.

“But your friends...and your father. Cedric, he will be crushed,” Jasmine said, an aching feeling growing in her chest.

“He will understand. Take my body back with you guys. Can you do that for me?” Cedric asked.

“Of course. It’s the least I could do,” Jasmine said.

“Good. Take care Jasmine,” Cedric said, joining the other orbs in attacking Voldemort. Harry broke the link and ran to Jasmine.

“Accio cup!” Jasmine yelled, pointing her wand at the cup. Both Harry and Jasmine grabbed the cup, Jasmine holding Cedric’s body close. The pair teleported back to the arena, both of them landing on the dirt ground, Cedric’s body laying face up in between the two. Jasmine could hear the cheerful band music and the crowd yelling gleefully, seeing the three champions return victoriously. Jasmine and Harry had succeeded and achieved greatness, but they questioned whether it was worth it or not. Their thoughts were cut short, hearing Fleur screaming. The music and cheering stopped immediately, and the teachers ran to the trio, stopping when they saw Cedric’s body. Jasmine looked up at them slowly. Seeing the teachers’ shocked faces made Jasmine completely break down. She held Cedric’s head close to her chest and cried. She cried and screamed in anguish, the pain she held back at the cemetery finally coming out. “We couldn’t leave him there. He wanted us to bring his body back,” she sobbed out. Harry hugged Jasmine and looked up at the teachers.

“He’s back, Voldemort is back. He did this,” Harry said quickly, still shook up about everything.

“My son! That’s my son!” Amos yelled, running over to Jasmine and his son’s body. He fell to his knees and touched Cedric’s face, looking into Cedric’s dead eyes. “That’s my boy!” he yelled.

“I’m so sorry, Mr. Diggory,” Jasmine apologized. “He fought to protect us. To protect me. I’m so sorry,” she tearfully apologized. “It all just happened so fast.” Amos pulled Jasmine into a tearful hug.

“You don’t have to be sorry, my dear. You were very special to Cedric. He didn’t die for nothing,” Amos said. Jasmine hugged him tightly and cried more.

~A little later~

Jasmine was finally able to calm down from her breakdown and quickly composed herself, before she looked around, getting a bad feeling.

“Where’s Harry?” she asked.

“Professor Moody pulled him away,” McGonagall said. Jasmine stood up quickly, the bad feeling growing.

“I have to go find him,” she said, before running back to the school. She ran through the hallway, leading to the DADA classroom. She put her ear up against the door, listening to the conversation happening inside. Once she heard Moody yelling in anger she opened the door and pointed her wand at Moody. “Expelliarmus!” Jasmine yelled, disarming the aggressive professor.
