~A few days later~

“Scabbers! Scabbers get back here!” Ron called, running after the scurrying rat. Harry ran after Ron with Hermione and Jasmine.

“Are we seriously running after a rat right now?” Jasmine asked.

“Sadly yes,” Hermione said with a sigh. “Get used to it, this happens a lot.” Ron picked his pet rat back up and held him close, not noticing the giant black dog creeping up behind him.

“Ron? Don’t make any sudden movements,” Jasmine said, seeing the giant dog.

“What? Why?” Ron turned behind him slowly and let out a whimper of fear, before the dog bit into Ron’s leg and dragged him into a hole, as he screamed in fear.

“Ron!” Harry yelled, running to the hole, before the tree began to swing its branches.

“Duck!” Jasmine yelled, as a tree branch began to swing. Harry ducked down, but Hermione was sadly grabbed by a branch and was swung around.

“Hermione!” Jasmine and Harry yelled. Hermione screamed, as she swung around.

“We have to do something,” Harry said, sounding panicked. Jasmine pulled out her wand and waved it at the tree carefully.

“Immobulus!” Jasmine yelled, causing the tree to drop Hermione, slowly freezing into place. Hermione fell on top of Harry, causing them both to collapse to the ground. “Are you guys okay?”

“Yeah,” they said, helping each other up.

“Good, let’s go,” Jasmine said, helping the two into the passageway, before climbing in herself.

~A few minutes later~

“We’re in the Shrieking Shack,” Hermione said, looking around. The three began running deeper into the shack, hearing Ron cry out in fear.

“Ron!” Harry yelled, pushing a door open.

“It’s a man!” Ron yelled, pointing to the corner. The three looked over, to see a man who looked to be in his late 30s. His dark hair was shoulder-length and messy, his face was covered in dirt, and his clothes were loose and torn, falling off of his shoulders. He looked like he had been starving and seemed almost manic with excitement.

“Harry Potter,” the man said, his voice low and raspy, before looking at Jasmine. “Jasmine, you’ve grown haven’t you,” he said, smiling at her.

“Sirius Black.” Jasmine said, standing in front of Harry and Hermione protectively. “Are you okay Ron? Are you hurt?”

‘I thought she didn’t know him. How does he know her name?’ Harry thought, looking at Jasmine, then Sirius, then Jasmine again.

“My leg is injured, and Scabbers is missing again,” Ron whimpered, mainly in fear, but a little sad about his pet leaving him.

“Just stay right there, okay? We'll get you out and to Madam Pomfrey,” Jasmine reassured, before seeing Lupin walk into the room. “Remus?” She looked surprised to see him here of all places on a night like this.

“Jasmine...” Lupin said, feeling like he had been caught doing something he shouldn’t.

~Another small time skip~

“Guys step back,” Jasmine warned, seeing that there was a full moon. 'Tonight of all nights. This had to happen tonight!' she thought frantically.

“Why, what’s wrong?” Harry asked, seeing that Remus was frozen, his eyes staring at the moon in fear, as he began to twitch, and his body bent uncomfortably.

“He’s a werewolf,” Hermione said, backing away while pulling Harry and Ron back with her. “Jasmine you stay back too, I’m sure you know how he gets at this time of night,” Hermione warned.

“I’ve never seen this happen. He would lock me in my room before this happens,” Jasmine said, watching Remus’s body painfully contort as he turned. She had never seen this happen before and felt a wave of nausea hit her, thinking of how painful it was for Remus, and her, not knowing what to do. She knew she couldn’t help him at that moment, but stepped back a little, holding up her wand just in case. Remus looked over at Jasmine, growling at her, making Jasmine step back more. Snape climbed out of the Shrieking Shack, getting ready to scold the group, but stopped when he heard Remus growling. He turned around, just as Remus swatted at him, tearing the sleeve of his coat. “Remus, stop!” she yelled, as Snape tried to shield them. Just as Remus was about to swat at Snape again, Sirius, in his large dog form, rammed into Remus, trying to stop him. The two fought briefly, giving Peter Pettigrew, Ron’s disguised rat, the opportunity to escape, before Sirius was thrown off of the cliff.

“Sirius!” Harry yelled, turning Remus’s attention back onto them. Snape stepped back, keeping the children behind him, as Remus stepped closer toward them, before stopping, hearing howling in the distance. He howled in return and bolted off. Harry bolted off as well, to look for Sirius, Snape trying to stop him, but missing him.

“Harry!” Jasmine called, being stopped by Snape.

“That is enough, Ms.Potter,” Snape said sternly. “You three will be heading back inside immediately.” The three were reluctant at first, but obeyed and headed back toward the school, the girls helping Ron walk back.

~Hours later~

“So you guys went through time to save Buckbeak and help Sirius escape?” Jasmine asked.

“Yes,” Harry said.

“And you didn’t take me with you?” Jasmine asked, jokingly, Harry smiled sheepishly.

“Yeah, sorry,” Harry apologized.

“It’s fine. We've got plenty of time for whatever chaos is to come in the next few years,” Jasmine said, playfully nudging him a little, making him smile. “You should go see Remus while he’s still packing.”

“Packing?” Harry asked. “He's leaving?”

“You didn’t hear? He’s resigning, parents found out about him being a werewolf and want him out,” Jasmine said, looking sad.

“Does that mean that you have to go too?” Harry asked sadly.

“No, don’t worry, you’ll see me next year,” Jasmine reassured, smiling at him. “You're stuck with me.”

“Good,” Harry said, smiling at her. “I kind of enjoy having family around.”

“Yeah. Me too,” Jasmine said. “Oh yeah, you better go catch up with Remus.”

“Right. I’ll see you at the station?” Harry asked.

“I’ll be there,” Jasmine said, watching Harry jog to Lupin’s office. She smiled to herself, before seeing a small ball of sparks, whizzing past her. She looked at it and began following it curiously. She ran after it, running straight into Fred and George.

“Oh, hey, Jasmine,” Fred greeted.

“Oh, hey Fred. Hey, George. What are you two up to?” Jasmine asked.

“We were looking for you actually,” George said.

“For me? Why?” Jasmine asked.

“We wanted to see if you wanted to hang out with us this summer,” Fred said.

“Sure, I’d like that,” Jasmine said, smiling at them. “It sounds like fun.”

“Great,” both boys said, before there was an awkward silence between the three of them.

“Well, I better go get my owl for the train ride,” Jasmine said.

“Right, yeah. We’ll see you later,” Fred said. He and George began walking, playing with the tiny spark ball. Jasmine smiled and made her way to the Gryffindor dorm, heading up to her room to grab her owl, who would be on the train with her. “Hogwarts doesn’t seem too bad,” she said to herself, heading out of the room with her owl.
