“So, what happened? Where have you been?” Fred asked, sitting down on the bed.

“Well, I went home after the school year ended. I was in a really bad place, I didn’t leave my room, I barely ate, I cried non-stop. It was really bad,” Jasmine said, sitting down next to Fred, George sitting down next to Jasmine to listen.

“We heard. Lupin told us that he had to force-feed you,” Fred said.

“Yeah...I was like that for a few days, until Cedric’s father sent me an owl. He invited me to Cedric’s funeral, he insisted that I go. And I’m so glad that he did,” Jasmine said. “So I went and after actually talking to people and getting to know how Cedric was with others, I kind of began accepting that he was gone. After the funeral I spent some time with Cedric’s dad. In some strange way, looking out for him kind of took my mind off of my own grief.”

“Sounds like you were busy,” George said.

“I was,” Jasmine said. “So what have you guys been up to?”

“Oh nothing. Just causing more trouble since we’re able to use magic now,” Fred said, making Jasmine chuckle a little at the thought of the twins being mischievous.

“Children! Dinner is ready!” Molly called.

“We should head down,” Jasmine said, standing up.

“We’ll meet you there,” Fred said, grinning a bit.

“Oh, okay,” Jasmine said, heading out of the room to meet the trio in the hallway.

“Hey, Jasmine. I don’t think I ever said hi to you earlier,” Hermione said.

“It’s fine. How are you, Hermione? How’re your parents?” Jasmine asked, walking with the group down the hall.

“Good, they’re doing well,” Hermione said, walking downstairs.

“That’s good,” Jasmine said, walking with her down the stairs. She made her way down the stairs and jolted a little when Fred and George popped up behind Molly, startling her a bit, before she slapped their arms a little.

“Just because you’re allowed to do magic now, doesn’t mean you should!” Molly scolded, the twins laughing and walking over to Jasmine. Jasmine chuckled softly and walked into the dining room with the two.

“You two are still goofs,” Jasmine said, entering the dining room. Remus stood up and walked over to Jasmine, before hugging her. Jasmine was taken aback at first, but hugged back, since she hadn’t seen him all summer.

“Are you okay?” he asked her softly.

“Yeah,” Jasmine said, nodding.

“I’m sorry for not being around this summer,” he apologized.

“Dad, it’s fine,” Jasmine reassured. Remus looked down at Jasmine in surprise. Jasmine had never called him Dad before, only by his first name. He smiled a little and pat her head. He helped her sit down at the table, before going to check on Harry, who was talking to Sirius.

“Hey, Jasmine. Glad to see that you don’t have rabies,” Sirius said, raising his glass to her.

“Back at you, Sirius,” Jasmine said, raising her glass at him. Since they met each other Jasmine and Sirius always liked to tease one another.

“Snappy as usual,” Sirius said, chuckling, before muttering to Harry. “She gets that from your father.” Jasmine chuckled and talked with Fred and George as dinner was being served.
