fourteen || You ever been in love?

AS WE ARRIVE BACK TO MY HOUSE, the guys and I are still riding the high of crushing Oklahoma's team tonight. But I can't even deny that the highlight of my night was seeing Violet at my game.

When I had invited her on Wednesday after our date, I was sure she'd come up with an excuse not to show up. But instead to my surprise when I walked outside there she was. Walking with Alice waiting for me. And now she's here with me at my house.

I could tell she didn't wanna come, especially without her sidekick. But I wanted more time with her, so I pulled out the dimple card.

   We walk inside the house and already it's filled with my teammates and some females. Violet looks around the place, our hands still locked together.

   "I'm gonna get dressed." I tell her and pull her hand so she can follow me.

   She smiles and shakes her head in stead. "I'll just wait for you here."

   "You sure? I won't bite... unless you want me to." I say with a smile.

    Violet laughs and smacks my hand away. "Go away now!" And that makes me laugh as well.

   Running upstairs and into my room, I quickly get some clothes out my closet to get dressed in. After home games we always shower there in our locker rooms but sometimes, depending where I'm going, I like to come home and shower again. However, I don't have time for that tonight.

   Music starts blaring downstairs and that's my cue to hurry the fuck up. I put on some black pants and my red and black Air Jordan's on then rush to the bathroom and brush my teeth. After I'm all done in the bathroom, I throw on a black T-shirt and a baseball cap then head downstairs.

   Walking down the stairs, I notice that in just fifteen minutes of being gone, the house got packed and extremely loud. I don't know why we even bother saying small celebration anymore, when clearly, it's a full on house party.

   Luckily, I have great roommates. I find Violet in the dining area, with Johnny and Noah. She's laughing at something their saying, now looking more relaxed.

   As I'm looking at her, I stop and realize that I don't feel like being here surrounded by all these people. I want to hang out with only her.

   "You ready?" I say walking up to her. Violet furrows her brows in confusion and so do my friends.

   "Ready for what?" She asks tilting her head.

   "Yeah, ready for what?" Johnny asks and I snicker.

   Violet turns her body around towards me and I grab her hand. "I'm starving. We're gonna go eat."

   The guys all begin to protest.

   "Wait! You're leaving?"

   "You can't leave!"

   "Y'all don't even need me here." I say laughing.

   Violet still confused looks back and fourth between the guys and me. "You wanna leave?"

   "We'll see y'all later." I say and grab Violets hand and gently pull her with me as I walk. She follows right next to me but doesn't say anything as we head back to my truck.

   I actually didn't plan this. When we all agreed to celebrate, I did want to party and drink. But once I actually saw her there and still seeing her now, it hit me that I wanna kick it with her some more just us two.

   Finally she speaks after I hop in the truck. "Why are we leaving, I thought you wanted to be here?"

   Pushing my keys in, I start the truck and pull out of my driveway. "I told you, I wanna hang out with you."
