3rd Pov:
The internships had come to an end. The boys had returned to school and the staff was pleased with the review that they received from Gang Orc regarding the three boys. The staff was actually meeting in the staff room talking about the three first years and future plans. Nezu was drinking his tea like normal and Aizawa was sleeping in a sleeping bag while dreaming of cats. Soon everyone took a seat and the meeting started. "Good afternoon everyone. The internships ended last week and we've had time to look over all the internships and work-studies for all the years. In regards to the internship for the three first years, we have they were glowing reviews." Nezu stated. Some were shocked at that wording since internships are normally where pro heroes find some flaws and just teach the students in the paperwork so they asked about what was so 'glowing' about it.
"Gang Orc allowed them to act on their own with him a bit away from them. He allowed them to act as if it was a full work-study and they were told to ignore his presence while out on the field. The boys all choose Gang Orc and worked two full days out on the field where they caught 25 people total using their individual skills but also teamwork." Aizawa stated. This was shocking. It was normal to take internships out for a few patrols but they weren't allowed to fight unless it got to a critical point. Instead, Gang Orc had allowed the three boys to go on the field and act as if Gang Orc wasn't there. They all received a copy of their review and it talked about the strengths and flaws that Gang Orc had found. The staff was also shocked at one section that talked about their current level. "It's in my professional opinion that I recommend that UA consider allowing the three boys to take the Provisional Exam during their second semester. The three of them were able to take on one of my sidekicks by themselves but also fight as a team against me and five of my sidekicks and hold the fight for 25 minutes. Though I admit I didn't go 100% in the fight my sidekicks did. The boys have shown a critical level of thinking on par with pro heroes and have the abilities of sidekicks already. As such, it's my recommendation for them to take the provisional exam so I can start work-studies with them which I've already offered to the boys once they have their licenses." stated the section from Gang Orc.
The staff was really thinking due to this section. It was normal for them to have the second years take the exam at the start of the semester. However, it was unheard of for UA to send their first years to take the exam. Though... this entire first-year class situation is unheard of, to begin with. Nezu then started to talk again. "I know you might have your concerns... so a test is needed. We will increase the difficulty of their physical portion of their final exam this semester. Instead of fighting robots, they will fight the staff. The staff will not have any restrictions placed on them and it will be a full-on fight. First-person down loses. No other way out except knock out or forcing an opponent to resign." Nezu stated. The staff was shocked at the level of challenge that Nezu wanted to place in front of the three boys! The staff wondered though if the boys failed then would they not be allowed to take the exam? Snipe asked the question and Nezu responded that they would but it would depend on the staff grading of their exam. If the boys did well enough that the staff felt comfortable with approving it then they would be allowed to. Even if they passed it doesn't mean they can take the exam unless UA felt they were ready. That was the reason the exam would be made harder since it would be pushing them to do their best. Also, this would be individual exams and not a team-based one since as heroes they are aiming to be individual heroes first before a team.
The staff of UA agreed with this proposal and the exam was set. It would take place in the middle of the last month of the semester. This was to give the boys time to train and prepare for the provisional exam if they passed the final exam since the provisional exam takes place two weeks right after the start of the second semester. They wanted to give them the best chance of passing if they were approved for the provisional exam. As such, there were 2 months until their final exam and they would keep this on the down-low until it happened. Nezu however, informed All Might and Gran Torino of the proposal so they could up the boy's training and get them better results.
