Chapter 35: Aftermath Pt.1

3rd POV:

Everyone was silent... the cameras had captured what Gran Torino said to All Might and everyone was devastated... their hero had just destroyed himself to ensure their safety. The people back in the dorms all fell to their knees and were crying. Aizawa himself broke down as he fell down and just broke... he now had to bury the third member of the misfits and he hated that! He hated that no one from his third-year survived. He hated that he couldn't teach them better... that he couldn't teach them some move or skills to help him survive. Bakugo himself was just blank. He didn't speak. He didn't cry. He did nothing because he didn't know how to react. He didn't know what to do. He just sat there without moving until Kirishima knocked him out of his thoughts and he turned around to him. Then he broke down as tears just went down his face and Kirishima just pulled him into a hug. The rest of those close to Izuku wasn't doing any better. They all broke down and so did the rest of the UA staff. Nezu had dropped his teacup that he was using to calm himself. He sat down and looked at a photo on his desk. It was a photo of the three misfits right after their provisional exams. He just lowered his head and knew he could never make this up. UA and the world owed Izuku Midoriya aka Fulcrum so much and they would never get to repay him.

Back on site of the battle, the ball of fire started to shrink and one object came falling out of it. Gran Torino saw this and blasted off into the air. "CATCH HIM! THAT SHOULD BE IZUKU! HIS BODY SURVIVED SO HE MIGHT BE ALIVE!" Gran Torino yelled. Anyone and everyone that had a quirk that could be effective in trying to slow his approach and catching him got to moving. The body was coming towards them but at a high speed. Gran Torino couldn't fly high enough to get up to him and had to wait for him to come closer before trying to grab the body. Then it happened. Hawks the current number three hero came flying in past Gran Torino and used his feathers to grab the body and slow its descent and change it towards them more. Within a minute or so they had secured the body and confirmed it was one Izuku Midoriya. They went down to the ground and landed. Gran Torino reached down to touch his throat and check for a pulse. As he did this, All Might was running over but everyone had stilled and were holding their breath. As Gran Torino held his hand there for a few moments hoping for a pulse he found none... he pulled his hand back and shook his head. Everyone's fears were confirmed.

Though they didn't know powerful forces were at work. Those powerful forces were One For All itself. As all of that was going on, Izuku's eyes opened up and he found himself in a dark void. "I died, didn't I? My body is missing all the wounds." Izuku muttered. Then he looked around and saw them... he saw his brothers. He got up to his feet but it was a bit hard to do since he felt so tired. He then started to walk towards them until he was able to break into a run.
